It works!
I bought this product so I could preserve my Dad's funeral flowers and display them in a shadow box. I have managed to successfully dry 10 roses and they look beautiful. The gel beads turn from orange to green in some cases. I wish I had bought more gel so I could have done more flowers. I tried sand but it didn't work. The lesson is to have this gel in your house ready for your flowers, otherwise you have to wait for your order to come through, and by that time your flowers might have started wilting. This Silicia Gel is brilliant but it's expensive. I would definitely buy this product again. It's a shame it's so pricey.

Just the job for a saturated Skycaddie
My Skycaddie (golf GPS device) had always seemed waterproof, but exposure to prolonged heavy rain a few weeks ago had proved too much. The next time I looked there were droplets of water and a film of water vapour behind the screen, and no way to get into the device to try to dry it out. It wouldn't function, either.I tried putting it in a bag of rice for a few days but there was no difference, so thought I'd try one of these silica gel bags. It took a few days, and eventually all visible signs of the water had disappeared. After one more golf round of weird readings I thought the device must be beyond hope of repair, but even so I thought I'd try putting it back in the bag with the silica. I'm glad I persevered, because the next time out (and since) it worked perfectly, so I suppose the circuitry must have been damp as well..It might I suppose have dried out by itself without the silica, but I'm pretty convinced that this product fixed my problem. There is a bit of an issue regarding the change of colour - behind the white cloth it's hard to notice any change from the original orange colour; but that's a monor quibble..

Dried Out My Leaky Car!
My leaky old banger of a car had developed a very nasty condensation problem over the winter so I thought this might help dry the thing out. Spending 15 mins drying out torrents of water off the inside of the windscreen every time I wanted to use the car was not very practical.I suspect you're supposed to take this stuff out the bag and it might work faster if you do, but it seemed to work fine just leaving the bag whole inside the car. It certainly turned green pretty quick and after a couple of drying out sessions the condensation issue was looking much better.Unfortunately the car has now spectacularly failed it's MOT and been scrapped, guess I'd better take up flower drying as a hobby!!

Great product, multiple uses
Great for drying car interior and preventing moisture on windscreen in mornings. Also used to dry out mobile phone after a dunking (silica + phone in ziplock bag in warm area for three days. Phone working perfectly!)Colour change indicator beads (orange = dry, green = saturated) quite difficult to see through the outer bag though.

Ok product if you're not in a rush
Ok, does what it says but it took a long time to get here. I wanted it to preserve a flower from a funeral arrangement and by the time it got here the flower was dead

Hated using this
I absolutely hated this product. Maybe I am alone in that but I feel like it didn't work.

I was sceptical
I was very sceptical as to whether this would work but it's been in the car for a fortnight now and I have had no condensation in the cold mornings. It's worked so well. I'm really impressed. I bought two. To other reviewers talking about baking it, don't! You only need to sit it on a radiator for 24 hours or so and it'll be good as new.
