Ironing Board C - Solid Steam Unit Holder

Superb ironing board - the Brabantia label sold this to me before checking out alternatives, there are alternatives but not in this class! Well made, solid, stable, not too heavy and safe. The legs clip securely into the board when collapsed, so no sudden decision to hurtle across the kitchen like my previous board as it suddenly decided to imitate an unbroken horse! The ratchet mechanism to adjust height is easy to control and therefore quiet. The stand section is big enough for a steam base unit, though there is a hose sized gap between it and the board proper this is not big enough to cause problems. It could be better packed - it arrived just in plastic film with no protection from bumps and scrapes in transit.

It's not necessarily easy to fold and lightweight, but it is very sturdy and I prefer it that way. The folding system is very good and if you have children it is very useful, as it has a child lock. It is as professional as it looks. It also has a sturdy steam unit/steam generator iron rest holder which I use and although the steam iron is quite heavy ,the rest holder is quite solid. It is not cheap at all, but it's definitely worth the money.

I had a large ironing board for many years and was trying to achieve the same standard i.e. large ironing space, sturdy and easy to handle. This is good in all these respects with the additional feature of different heights - very good if you suffer with back ache!

It's huge! Thank heavens I chose the medium sized board. It is larger than any board I've ever had before. It seems to have been designed for left handed people in that the release to lower the board for storage is at the back for right handed use. It is really strong, adjusts to a really good height (up) but unfortunately comes wrapped in cling film only thus the metal steam generator support arrived with scratches. Not worth requesting a replacement since I cannot see how it will travel any better.All in all a great board which reduces ironing time but awkward and needs extra protection for transport.

Super large board with a generous, sturdy section for parking your steam iron. Easy to put up and down and doesn’t weigh too much for moving about even though it’s a big board. Very pleased with my purchase.

I wanted a robust wide ironing board suitable for my steam generator iron and that was adjustable. I had bought a much cheaper brand which had to be returned as was wobbly. This met all my criteria and very pleased with my purchase and worth paying the extra. Would recommend

Item arrived and it was unstable, only 3 of the 4 feet could rest on the floor at any one time. It looked great, very large ironing surface but I had to return it for a refund due to the fault. Very disappointed as this is a good brand. Ended up buying one in the supermarket as my old one had broken and couldn’t wait for another delivery. If yours is not faulty it’s probably a great product and worth the money but for me I was annoyed at having paid almost £90 and it was so clearly faulty. Where is the quality control.

I kept wondering is it worth buying so expensive ironing board. YES IT IS! it is wider, taller, more sturdy, can hold steam iron without problem or falling over (that was my dillema too) It is definitely worth it. And as i always say: you get what you've paid for. Highly recommended. If you are on the fence - go for it! You won't regret it!!!

Arrivato perfetto, mi ha convinto la robustezza, la qualità dei materiali e il piano bello ampio. Si stira bernissimo ed ha la punta bella stretta per facilitare la stiratura delle camicie. Il prezzo è un pò alto ma ne vale la pena. Ne consiglio l'acquisto.

Very stable as described and top quality that has multiple adjustments for height. I do all my own dress shirts (she refuses too) and most enjoy the large surface area to spread my shirt out and iron the whole back panel not a skinny part at a time. The pad is very good quality as well but could be slightly thicker so I am planning on buying the additional pad. Overall, very happy and would recommend and buy again.

Item came very damaged and in a filthy state. A total shame. Hopefully can be resolved..
