Yes it will. Fit on my 10 gallon rimmed tank perfectly

Q: My aquarium is open, so I want to know does this model a water-resistant from splash?

I have a 5 year old finnex 36 inch KLC model and I am looking to replace with this one. My 50 gallon planted is open and I purchased my current finnex in March of 2016 so I would think the finnex planted line do well in this area. Hope this helps.

Q: It’ll fix my 125 gallon tank?

I doubt this 24" lamp will be large enough to adequately light a 125 gallon tank. It's perfect for a 39 gallon aquarium.
