Can these be used to cut off plaster cast?

I have cut through a metal clasp the size of two pence coin so a plaster cast should not be a problem. The only difficulty may be getting enough cutting force via the blades if the jaws are too wide open to get a good purchase.

About 10cm. I bought 2 pairs just in case due to Coronavirus I had a half cast and managed to cut through the lots of bandage side myself. However one pair was already blunt but the other was good.
