There's a sample business plan included at the back of the book. I highly recommend this book for any independent filmmaker, especially if you're a novice. I'm a student filmmaker, and this book has been extremely helpful. Read this book before you spend a cent on filmmaking, so you'll at least know what type of film you want to make (niche) and the best way to maximize your profit from it. Good luck! Detailed and Excellent
Very detailed and concise book. Easy to follow. I like this book because helps the reader think of a film as a product, not just art. And some may feel like filmmaking is an art form for their creative ideas but filmmaking is a business; unless you don't plan on ever making a dime. It covers how to make a business plan, how to approach investors, what to expect if you are unprepared, it covers the distribution process and how to acquire distribution, how to have a financial plan, advertising and how to market your product (film). There's a sample business plan included at the back of the book. I highly recommend this book for any independent filmmaker, especially if you're a novice. lots of info with little self-promotion. Lots of contacts that are useful immediately, but more important to me, it shifted my thinking to a more wholelistic approach

Solid prep handbook
I'm in the early stages of executing what this book describes, but from what I can tell it's a solid handbook for film financing, particularly within the North American context.

Although it's only based on the American film market, but it is a great book for new producers who would like to know more about funding and how to write a film business plan for their up and coming films.
