The ONLY long term and reliable media type!
These are not regular discs.. there are archival grade discs. The ONLY long term archive media! Tested it under extreme condition - works perfectly.Again, this is the only way to protect your data forever. Hard drives (HDD and SSD), tapes or any other media are effected by depolarisation, magnetic field, bitrot and others who can one day fail you without early notice.I learnt about M-Disc after I found many files corrupted in my HDD and ALL my backups which is on different media type.M-Disc is relatively cheap and worth put the most important data for archive.

Great, large capacity. Just make sure you have a blu ray burner not a cd/dvd burner

Disappointing!! 2 Failed out of 5! For over £60!
Having bought the 25GB M-Disc Pack in the past to archive my Dad's Car Film, I bought these 50GB Discs for creating a box set of my favourite Cameron Crowe TV Show 'Roadies'. After 2 successful burns, the next 2 Discs would fail after 3min! Pi**ed off isn't the word, especially given how the pack of 5 discs cost a whopping £60+!!I can't request a replacement to be sent, due to already opening the packaging and using 2 Discs.

Pretty legit
These feel high quality, haven't had any failed burns or later failures. The fact that they're M-Discs means they should last "centuries". Of course, it's a hard claim to verify (I believe the company does these tests by rapidly aging the discs in simulated conditions e.g. by subjecting them to heat or humidity and such, which will give some measure of confidence). When in doubt, I'd always go for an M-Disc over a regular Blu-Ray or DVD.
