Very solid prize wheel, I expect this will last a long time
I got this to use as a "task wheel" for my kids. A counselor advised that when my kids don't complete daily routines (like get ready for bed, or make their beds, etc.) we use "task cards" which are essentially small tasks that the kids need to do in addition to the task they were supposed to do initially. Despite shuffling, some task cards always come up more often than others. So we used this prize wheel as a task wheel. When we've asked our kids to brush their teeth more than twice, they spin the wheel and have to finish the task they spin before brushing their teeth. Some may think it draconian, but there's only so many times a parent can repeat themself without losing their mind. Using a wheel makes the task selection much more random, and a little more fun than drawing a card. The wheel itself is heavy and very well made, the wheel is balanced and doesn't wobble when spinning it. The face of the wheel is completely white-board-marker-compatible, which I didn't realize before getting it, and having it in hand, I really appreciate this feature. The markers are a little thick, but anyone can just get a thinner tipped dry erase marker and use that instead. It also came with a small, whiteboard eraser and wall-mounting tools in case one opts to mount it to a wall permanently. I chose to use the included base and was really pleased with how stable the wheel is on it.While overall, the wheel is really well made, there are a few things to note to anyone who orders it. Before using it, be sure to use the included wrench and tighten the bolts holding the pegs into the wheel, most of the pegs on my wheel were pretty loose, which resulted in the first few spins to sound wrong, and floppy. The wheel itself is held on with a screw that also needs to be adjusted with another tool they've included in the box, an Allen wrench. After making these two adjustments, the wheel spins more solidly. The sound of the wheel spinning is a satisfying, low, full click click click, not a cheap tick tick tick sound.I plan on using this wheel for school functions too, like our annual carnival. It's certainly durable enough.

Fun and Will Last -- Not Perfect Though
The short of the negatives here mostly deal with how often this gets caught between two wheel options. The rubber on the spring catches on the rubber of a divider in about 1/3 of all spins, making it unclear where things stand. This problem is made worse by the arrow looking like you've landed on one option, in spite of the spring behind it being more in line with the other option it's stuck between. Also, while spinning clockwise is very smooth, this sometimes struggles with counter-clockwise spins (likely because the spring in mine came slightly bent in favor of the clockwise direction). And the list price of $40 is a bit steep for my liking.Apart from that, this thing delivers. If you know you'll always spin it clockwise, you can angle the arrow so that your "stuck" spins have a clear winner. The coloration is nice. The item is well-built. The dry erase markers and eraser are high quality. The board wipes clean with ease. The stand is appropriately weighty. Everything you need for wall mounting is here. Even the "win" magnet in the center (which covers an exposed metal center) is a nice touch. If you've always wanted a spinning prize wheel, you'll likely adore this thing. And I'd recommend it to most shoppers who know it sticks at times, and who aren't scared off by the price point. It's potential uses are seemingly limitless. I'm happy to have it. And I suspect it won't break any time soon.

This is awesome!
This spinner is awesome and I am going to use it in the classroom for games/prizes throughout the school year. It is very sturdy on the stand, and the dry erase area is a great added feature to swap out what that spaces will mean. It was super easy to put together on the stand, just needed a drill to screw on the bottom and then the arrow pops on the front. I gave this four stars because it is a little weird when you spin it counter clockwise, but spins perfectly clockwise. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to add something fun to their classroom games/activities.

Very hefty, high quality prize wheel!
My daughter has already stuck googly eyes on this for some reason after erasing all the different prizes, so that's fun!Anyhow, this thing is chunky. It's got a good heft which makes it very satisfying to spin. The surface is very glossy and smooth so using the whiteboard markers it comes with to write or erase words on the wheel is super easy and doesn't leave any residual ink.The base is super heavy and keeps it nicely in place. There's some accessories to attach it to a wall, which could be very interesting, but we're satisfied with using it on a table for now.If I had to come up with complaints, I guess I'd say the fact that the triangle pointer indicating the prize and the stopper that stops the wheel from spinning are separate. It can kind of confuse kids if the stopper is clearly within one slice and the pointer is inbetween two slices. I think they could be the same thing. In fact, I may be removing the triangle (it comes off quite easily, which is nice!) so that the stopper itself is the prize indicator. That and the fact that you can't do really long, super satisfying spins. The stopper is basically a small, compact door stopper with some rubber over the tip. This gets the job done quite well, but maybe slightly too well, as it'll stop a long spin prematurely, which I guess is good for carnivals where you don't want someone sitting in front of it too long, but less fun for home use. Those minor complaints aside, no regrets at all. This thing's fun for kids and adults alike, and is useful for everything from picking dinner to choosing when to do something to basically whatever you can think of!
