Wash and drying it day one is needed but the amount of lint that come off this blaket it made me worry the dryer was eating the blaket. But feel nice and is vary warm nice blaket for the winter months.

This is a very good quality blanket. It is soft, keeps me warm and it is beautiful as well.

After first wash, by itself, just using Woolite in a top loading washer with no center agitator. Ideal conditions. The blanket does feel a little softer, but I literally pulled an entire shoebox full of very soft wool balls, presumably the merino, out of the washer and drier's lint trap. NEVER seen anything produce a shoebox full of fiber pills. I'm going to have to deep clean the lint filters on both machines.UPDATE: The pilling continues like mad after the second wash, and that's with no agitator. The whole point of "washable wool" is to be able to wash it, but I think all the wool will wash away, unless you are hand soaking and washing this.

Love this blanket! Beautiful. Nice and surprisingly soft. Fit the bed perfectly. Thin but warm. Nice edges.

Really like the comfort of the blanket BUT the amount of shedding little balls of wool is insane. I washed it to see if that would help but it didn’t. I wanted to love it but now, 5 months later, I can’t live with all the fuzz. I’m donating it and moving on.

The blanket feels fine, is wartm and breathable, but the pilling is so much that I have stopped using it regularly.
