Works well
Installation was simple, but I needed to use a 24V power supply because my house has no C wire. Device is controllable with a dedicated app and also integrated easily with Alexa. It’s easy to program and has worked well

Really awesome but the weather is NEVER correct...
The weather it displays is like 15 degrees cooler than it actually is in the summer. In winter it's pretty accurate but also the night weather animation always shows sunny even when it's 2am in the morning. Little frustrating but I'm sure a firmware update will address this.

Great looking interface, but something is faulty with my thermostat
I am disappointed with this thermostat and will be starting the return process. Initially, I liked the ergonomics, features, interface, and positive reviews; instead, it damaged my air conditioner and cost an afternoon and the hiring of a professional to sort out the problem which turned out to be the thermostat itself. It did not work correctly on my reasonably standard Trane air conditioning system. The problem appears to be the signals being sent to the air conditioning components from the thermostat. I purchased this thermostat a couple of days ago and it arrived yesterday afternoon. The instructions and installation were relatively straightforward. Everything appeared to be working properly until the heating cycle shut off but my heat pump continued to run. Basically, the fan for the AC ducts was being shut off properly but the thermostat was leaving the heat pump running. Additionally, the signal the thermostat was sending caused the contacter inside the heat pump to chatter (Rapidly connecting and disconnecting). I could not figure out the problem so I shut everything down (the thermostat's off function would not work so I had to use the circuit breakers) until a professional could evaluate the situation. An air conditioner technician came by the house this afternoon and determined the thermostat was the problem after quite a bit of diagnostic work. This included checking the wiring, AC components, and system safeguards. To my relief, the technician confirmed I had connected the thermostat properly and chosen the most appropriate settings; however, the circuitry inside the thermostat was sending the signal to power up AC components but not properly de-energizing the signal to turn them off when it was supposed to. According to the technician, the contacter inside my condenser had been damaged/scored from the chattering caused by the intermittent signal. They explained that the heat pump could have been ruined if I had not powered down the system because it would have run continuously or at the very least significantly longer than it needed to. A different thermostat wired the same way temporarily replaced the new Levoit thermostat which resulted in my air conditioner and heating working properly. The problem could not be recreated without the Levoit thermostat being connected to the system. I am uncertain why my brand new Levoit is not working properly and am disappointed about my air conditioning system being damaged. After paying for the repairs, I am going to be trying a more expensive (but higher quality control) Honeywell T10 as recommended by my air conditioning technician. I am working to return the thermostat I purchased and believe it is possible I purchased one of the few defective units. I will not postulate the entire Levoit line of thermostats being defective. Hopefully, anyone making this purchase has a better experience than I did because it looks like a well-intended device with an attractive interface.

Great product for a home.
I live in an older home that had a basic thermostat. I would find myself waking up during spring and fall to manually switch between heat and cooling depending on the changes in temperature from day to night. With this smart thermostat I set it up for a range I liked and haven't had to touch it. Also with the Alexa integration if for any reason you want to adjust it, you don't even have to leave your bed. I love it. It takes a bit to get it installed but there are great videos to help.

Excellent Smart Home Thermostat
I've used smart home thermostats for well over 10 years now and was looking for a way to upgrade to a new thermostat with newer features and this one did the trick. Since most smart thermostats offer a very similar set of features now, cost is starting to become a factor. The balance between cost and features really matters. I purchased the Levoit brand because I started using their home air purifiers and humidifiers and they work excellently. After mounting this unit on the wall (it's much smaller than most other thermostats), it was easy to set up and update the firmware. I was up and running within about 20 minutes and was able to set the schedules and routines. A really nice features of this smart thermostat is that you can set it to Auto for both heat and air conditioning at the same time. Not all smart thermostats have this feature. There are times (here in the NV desert) where you need the heater at night and the air conditioner during the day as we're transitioning between seasons. The auto feature comes in handy so I don't have to manually change from AC to heat (and sometimes accidentally forget). Great thermostat!

Changed from do not buy to 3 stars
Instructions are wrong & unit will not recognize a six wire installed as shown on their install manual, pages 16 & 17. Additionally the self config program on first power-up fails to recognize the install as shown in their own documentation. This is why I fear buying new products. A call to Levoit customer service said they were too busy and could leave a message or send an email. They’ll respond in two days. I’ve installed maybe 10 thermostats in my lifetime but never had one go sideways like this! Save your money and buy something else, something that works!!Edit: changed rating from 1 to 3 stars. EtekCity tech support responded later on the evening that I reached out to Levoit. They did follow-up throughout and helped resolve the initial issue which was a defective new Levoit on the original order. EtekCity sent a new unit which performed fine.I took a star away for the defective new product and another for the clunky VeSync interface. I’ve used VeSync extensively with smart extension cords and it works great particularly with creating schedules. The Levoit portion of the VeSync app is very lean and deficient. It’s prob the worst thermostat app I’ve used and a shame because the Levoit therm seems like a really nice, well designed product.Plus: extensive settings menu, internet connectivity, physical design is small & good lookingCon: VeSync app needs a LOT of work
