Has anyone using this for their cats noticed black crusts on the cats nostrils and eyes?

Nothing to do with the litter. This is exudate from the cat's eye. Normally drains throught the cat's tear duct and into the nose. I have a white cat so the problem was very obvious. Her tear ducts were blocked and he found that the upper ducts were so small as to be non functional. He was able to unblock the other tear ducts which sorted out the problem for about 2 months but it re occurred; so as it does not bother Honey I put up with the consequences!

Can anyone tell me is this wood? Or sawdust. Thanks

Hi, the pack just says 100% natural fibres. I wouldn't say it was either. It is a small crumb which absorbs amazingly well. When wet it looks like sawdust but isn't but it clumps very well.

Is this 17.2kg or 13kg? Quite confused as legal disclaimer states 13kg but image & item description states 17.2kg

The 30 litre size is 13kg. I don't know why it is advertised as 30 litres as this is not mentioned on the packaging, but 13kg is the weight on the bag. Hope this answers your query.

What shape are the particles? Pellets or granules?

They are not pellets. Tiny clumps. Best litter I have used, but messy like most litters, as particulars can stick on the cats paws. This litter does not smell like other litters as long as you clean daily or as soon as your cat has used it. I bought a small bag first and graduated to the largest. Hope this helps
