I have used Nikon SLRs since 1975 and get a new one every 7 or 8 years. They never go wrong and perform like new even after many years of hard use. I still have my old F601 from 1992 and its still in full like new working order. So dont worry about a warranty,you will never need it.

Q: Which lens is best for photography of baby's and toddlers?

I'm no expert but, indoors try the kit lens (18-55) and as the weather improves you'll probably find you'll need a bit more reach as you get outside more so the 55 to 200 would be a good second lens but if you want to cover most bases perhaps go for the 18 to 140 (which I have and it's good), otherwise get all technical and buy several prime lenses! Perhaps not what you need at this time though, it's a fab camera whatever you do!

Q: Is the memory card and battery included with this camera?

The battery is but unfortunately, you have to buy an SD card.

Q: Does the D5300 have an intervalometer, built in, for time lapse? I've searched the manual and several places online, just can find a solid yes or no.
