TOTALLY BONKERS, BUT GREAT FUN
Recall watching the first episodes of Suits and thinking this had to be the most preposterous show on TV. Just finished Season 6 and I still think it's completely daft, BUT, this is a glorious type of daftness. Suits is a show that revels in its stylish silliness and in the process provides escapist hokum which is thoroughly entertaining. Hate to use that old cliche "guilty pleasure" but Suits is definitely mine. The plots, where they can be followed at all, are totally outrageous but hysterically funny. Basically, about two or three times in each episode there will be a crisis which threatens everybody's future, but within about two minutes one of the stars will have come up with an ingenious (and usually totally implausible) solution which saves the day. Don't try and make sense of all this (it doesn't make sense) but just jump aboard and enjoy the ride.Scenes are usually brief and contribute to the show's fast pacing. They often follow a set Suits formula. One character walks into another character's office, they have a shouting match, one character walks out and the camera closes in on the other's face gazing meaningfully (or meaninglessly) into space. There is a definite "Suits Walk" unlike anything one will experience in other shows (or life). The ladies especially have this strange gait, somewhat akin to a model catwalk strut, and presumably employed to show to full advantage the expensive designer dresses of which the leading ladies seem to have an inexhaustible supply. (The stars seem to change dresses three or four times a day which, given they seem to be facing financial ruin half the time, seems a tad extravagant). To summarize: Suits is as ridiculous a show as you're likely to see, but it is all done with such flair and confidence that it makes for compelling, even addictive viewing. The programme is an absolute hoot and I love it!

GRIPPING REPERCUSSIONS
Their darkest hour. Mike Ross in prison for practising law when unqualified - a psychopathic inmate representing threat to his life. The once prestigious law firm deserted by most of its staff and clients. Furious rows about how best to proceed. All a far cry from the show which began as a delightful comedy caper!SUITS has evolved magnificently, fans genuinely concerned about what lies ahead for those they regard as friends: Jessica, Harvey, Rachel, Donna, even Louis (despite obnoxious aspects, he often coming up trumps).Although much is far grimmer than usual, there are still many laughs - courtesy of sparkling scripts, lively dialogue and a fine cast (newcomers blending in well). Viewers can look forward to more decorative sashaying along corridors, much wheelerdealing, treachery in plenty - most of it in due course avenged. Movingly there is also a last-ditch attempt to save from execution a man in Death Row. And what a finale, anxiety justified about the possible outcome!Sixteen episodes. Bonuses include deleted scenes (worth a look), background to the pivotal tenth episode, gag reel, a fond farewell to a key member of the cast.Full marks to a series well removed from those that comprise virtually "same again" seasons. Explored here in detail are far-reaching consequences of breaking the law. What hope for likeable Mike, even if somehow he survives two years in jail?Arguably Season 6 has been the best of all.

One of the best series on TV
One of the best series on TV. Funny, sad, dramatic, witty, ironic, and that's just in the first five minutes. First time I've ever binge watched a TV series. Unkissable!

The last one...
Disappointed about the plot... It seems they are over the good ideas. This will be the last series I buy...😔

Enjoyable escapism.
This fascinating and well written and acted series continues for a sixth season and although the problems the characters face are getting a little weird & wonderful it's still enjoyable.
