I bought this flashlight, it looks very good but how long does it take to fully charge? The red light has been on for hours.

Hello. Yes it does take a good few hours as it only draws 1A, unlike most phones these days which charge a lot faster and draw more current (in fairness the battery capacity is far greater than that of the average smartphone as well).I would say 6 to 7 hours if its completely dead. Personally I use mine on my commuter bike, so I take it into the office with me when its low and connect it to power - its usually done mid afternoon well in advance of my return journey.

Can u plug it into 12 volt car usb

In short yes you can. In long a USB socket is always 5v no matter what system it is attached to, eg 12v car or 240v home, because the voltage is stopped down by the electronics behind the socket.

Is it safe to use a anker usb charger 4.8a/24w 2-port usb wall charger for this torch? will it charge any faster or does the torch limit its charging?

I used a 5v single wall charger and it did seem to charge it quicker but I haven't let it drain fully

anyone know where to get replacement protected flat top batteries? I can only find the button top ones in the uk at least
