I love that there is no 'static' associated with plastic brushes
I've been buying these brushes for 15 years- they last so long so you don't need to rebuy often. I love that there is no 'static' associated with plastic brushes.

Great hairbrush, falls apart after 3+ years
Fantastic hairbrush for thick hair. Knocked off a star as it’s lasted 3.5 years after daily use yet the prongs are starting to fall out.

Pad comes apart
Feels really nice to use and much gentler on my hair but sometimes the pad comes apart from the handle section.

BEST BRUSH FOR HEALTHY HAIR - EVER!
I had read a few online and YouTube reviews, so I thought I would give this bamboo brush a try. Wow -- I was NOT prepared for the difference in my natural afro-textured hair in just one use!It made my hair silkier, shinier, and smoother, not to mention the AMAZING MASSAGE it gave my scalp! This is a brush I would recommend 101 percent. I would even gift it as a present -- it's that impressive.101 percent worth every penny. Can't wait to try the comb and edges brush in bamboo too! I cannot recommend this brush enough!

... wooden brush I have owned and I can say easily I'll be using this from now on
This is my first all wooden brush I have owned and I can say easily I'll be using this from now on. I have very thick hair and this is able to brush through it with ease while also being comfortable for me- no pulling on my hair or scratching on my scalp. Its also vert lightweight and I love the design.

For Those With Thick Hair and/or Tight Curls...
I am a woman of color and because my curly is different from others most often, it's hard to find a brush with reviews that I can rely on (I'm also part Native American, so my hair is very thick!). To give you an idea, a classmate once asked if I curled my hair with "a pencil or something" every morning, bit by bit. When dry and untouched, it shrinks to my shoulders. Pulled or straightened, it doubles in length, reaching or passing the middle of my back.Anyways, I usually use brushes with plastic bristles and the little beaded ends, the rectangular vented ones or whatever (sorry, I'm not the type to use a wide tooth comb to detangle my hair and use a separate brush to, well, brush it). The struggle is that they are often cheap and within a couple weeks to a month in, the bristles bend and won't run through my hair, only over it. They also break or the beads fall off. Of course, when I straighten my hair, using one of these causes a lot of static! When I learned about wood brushes, I decided for this one, as it is reasonably priced. My issue with paddle brushes, is that in the past, the entire rubber bit holding the bristles and glued to the handle breaks off. Usually within a day or two. If it wasn't that, my hair would easily bite the bristles off that rubber back piece. It's been about a month since I've had this brush (doesn't seem long, but these types of brushes last a day. Literally.). And I really like it! All the bristles are still in tact. Nothing looks like it's going to fall off soon. While I use this brush still a little more carefully (taking smaller sections of my hair to brush), I have used it normally quite a few times, just running it through my hair with no caution and everything is fine.I can't say for sure if it's better for the frizz factor yet (though I think there is a bit of a difference for the better), but I'll use it the next time I straighten my hair- that's when the static and frizz is very noticeable (I wear my hear up most often). When I do, I'll make sure to update this review.Oh! And as for the little beads lacking on the tips, I like that about this brush because I can be sure it won't get caught in my hair, get stuck and break or something. And if you're anything like me (not tender headed at all!), the lack of the beads actually feel a bit nice. But that's just me, ha.Hope this helps.

and I'm glad I did
Time will tell how this helps my hair, but it is a quality brush! I decided to pay a bit more for this one as opposed to a wooden brush from china, and I'm glad I did. It has a lovely colour, a nice weight, simple branding on the brush, and came well packaged with a very nicely designed label and plastic wrap. It has no nubs on the ends of the bristles, which makes it glide very smooth through the hair and I noticed today after showering it was very gentle on my wet hair which is great. Looking at it, the bristles have obvious different grains, so they are real wood. Super excited! It's kind of small, but it's really nice!
