Amazone Digital Calendar Day Clock with Large Clear Time Day and Date display, Wall hanging or Desk/Shelf clock ideal for Impaired Vision & Memory Loss.

Package arrived within a matter of days from date of order, unit was easy to set up by simply connecting power lead and plugging in the three-pin wall plug, after a few seconds the clock lit up and immediately gave the current day/date/time and so -it seems- it had been pre-programmed before being sent out (by way of testing perhaps). I bought this for my Mother who is close on 87 and who is beginning to show signs of forgetfulness and in this capacity has proved very useful. I would have given a 5 star rating but for two small niggles:-(i) the three-pin plug was faulty in so far as one of the live pins was not protruding far enough initially and so would not make the connection and so would not power up the unit, but this was easily corrected by simply pulling out the pin with a pair of pliers, easy enough for me certainly but not for everyone perhaps and:-(ii) the pre-set display showed the time in 24 hr. clock fashion which is not clear to everyone and while the adjustment is simple enough by way of the menu button on the rear of the panel, the display kept on jumping back to the 24 hr. read-out and it became necessary to adjust it on an hourly basis and not until after having 'fiddled' with the adjustment controls in this way over a period of several days does it now seem to have 'stabilised' and remains as set and has done for about a week so far, I cannot remember any particular combination of control 'fiddling' that I went through in order to achieve this however. Aside from that I am quite pleased with this device, but as with all such things electronic/electric, durability and life-span will only be determined after usage over time.

My ageing mother recently returned from a stint in hospital and has come back home more than a little confused after three months, with working out what day it is let alone the date, year and time, and her carers did say that she would certainly benefit from a digital calendar clock so I turned to Amazon to check out what was available - and ended up plumping for the Amazone Digital Calendar Clock - not the cheapest but certainly not the most expensive Digital Calendar Clock available on the market.Setting the clock up was very easy and the instructions were not written in the usual ENGRISH, so all plus points and now the unit sits on a shelf where my mother can, at a glance see the brightly lit screen even when she has all the room lighting on and, in the evening when she goes to bed (as she is now confined to downstairs) she can still see the clock that during the night time, diminishes in intensity, so that it is not causing a bright light source to prevent her from going to the land of nod!As I say, it's certainly not cheap but it does do exactly what it says on the tin, and to have my mother be able, at a glance, to know where she is in time and date is worth the outlay!

bought this for my great grandad and he loves it and it is great because he can see all information clearly without struggling but ist is quite expennsive but he loves it

I bought this for my mum as she was forgetting what day it was. She absolutely loves it as it’s so easy and clear to read. It’s helped her no end.

Clock arrived promptly and my father is so delighted with it I`ve ordered another for his bedroom..There were no instructions in the box as statedbut didn`t seem necessary.Only quibble would be that the support for using clock on a table seems rather flimsy time will tell.

It is constructed of what I call "Far Eastern" plastic, making it OK but it will never make the "superior" or "iconic" leagues. It has worked fine for fifteen months, no complaints there, but then the power adapter packed up. Problem. No clock! Time to go and source another adapter which is a pain, as it shouldn't be necessary in my opinion. Maybe there are better options out there, I haven't the time to look!

The only problem with this calendar clock is that it is mains powered and not battery powered, which means you have to connect it to a mains supply, and also if there is a power cut, it has to be turned on again manually.

This clock has been such a wonderful help to my relation who suffers from dementia. He now knows what day it is which makes such a difference to him. The large letters and time clock is great. It also changed the time automatically when the hour went back. Very impressed. Even when the clock was mistakenly turned off and then turned back on, the time set was immediate. Excellent. I am considering buying another one for his bedroom.
