Electro- Harmonix 'Small Clone'

I have fancied one of these pedals since Nevermind came out, so a mere 20 years later I finally took the plunge. This pedal is fantastic - like many reviewers before me I would say it does one thing (provide a distinctive chorus effect, unsurprisingly) but does it brilliantly. It adds anything from a touch of shimmer to your playing to a more radical wobble. It can also thicken your distorted rhythm tone if used conservatively, and helps your guitar to cut through a live band mix. The guitar just sounds bigger with a light dusting of chorus. The Small Clone is mercifully easy to use - just the one dial - so less time spent trying to work out how to use it properly, and more time playing. I am not sure if it is true bypass (reports seem to vary) but I am a bit of a tone bore and I find it does not suck any tone from my guitar when it's not in use. For the money I can't see how you can get a better chorus pedal. And importantly, it looks way cool! Highly recommended.

This is a truly excellent chorus unit. I can see why it is haled as one of the best effects units ever made. When examining the controls please note that the rate adjustment is more than just the speed. It also changes around the modulation so giving the best chorus balance to the signal.This chorus unit will put the bass frequencies through from the input signal hence it sounds very full. And doesn't sound thin or too mushy peas. Please note this has an analog signal path not digital!There is no noise I found.I use it with synths. The pedal is very well built and looks well made. For the price I do not think anything can beat it.An important note is this unit is completely retro !!! so it uses a none standard 1/8inch DC supply connector although it runs from standard centre pin - 9vdc. It is likely you will need to order an adaptor to go with it or another power supply.The supplier delivered perfectly on time. Thank you.

Distinctive chorus sound, versatile & great value

Arrived very quickly. In perfect order. My son loves it!!

Absolutely no problems so far. Sounds amazing and well worth the price paid.Update. Still a great pedal with brilliant sounds; however, when you stomp on the switch you can hear it through the amp. I paid £55 for this and it's worth it at that price.

What a pedal absolutely brilliant worth every penny

I would recommend this pedal with it's fine voicings and easy operation - only let down is it requires a non-standard dc power unit connector different from all the others I have. So 4 starsQuiet pedal with low noise - easy to use and sounds great when hooked up to the rest of my rig. you can get some great and varied tones from this pedal - a real bargain for this price.

Si cumple con mis necesidades

Llevaba mucho tiempo detras de este pedal hasta que decidi comprarlo. Nada mas abrirlo de la caja quede muy impactado debido al gran tamaño del pedal. En cuanto al sonido es espectacular: desde el sonido de Comes as you are hasta un chorus muy sutil. He echado en falta una perilla que regulase el volumen del pedal ya que al activarlo me eleva bastante el volumen del ampli. Por otro lado cuando uno activa el pedal se escucha un pequeño "pop" pero no llega a ser molesto. Creo que es un pedal que todo guitarrista deberia tener en su pedalera.

Je ne m'y connais pas trop en chorus, à vrai dire je l'ai acheté pour reproduire cet effet distinctif de Nirvana :) , mais je peux affirmer qu'elle fait le taffe et permet de reproduire des sons rock'n'roll (type "Like A Hurricane" en couplant avec une distorsion).Donc bonne pédale.

This is a popular chorus pedal which has been used on many pro recordings. It has a light and deep setting and has a nice swirling/rotary effect. The effect doesn’t thin the sound of the guitar through the amp like some chorus peddles do. I find this peddle very versatile with a very usable sound. And affordable.
