Very pleased with the overal feel and quality. Not yet had to use any excessive force re horning my foot into anything yet (not that one should truly need to… though it does happen) so can't verify true strength & durability yet but it feels very solidly build, well designed (ergonomically) and well finished re shiny surface. I'm very happy and certainly considering ordering more as presents. Would be great if seller had a repeat or bulk discount. Update: yep very strong…. I have now used in difficult to get into boots… it was fab. Also, it is strong enough that I could use it in reverse to get out of my boots too. Slide it in, push down while pulling up with foot. Now a very much favoured item.

Advertised as Pootack, the manufacturer is Dewahsing (chinese). Arrived in good time. It is very sturdy and hence very strong. i use it to put on dog-walking shoes in a cramped door porch and energetic hound, hence cramped space. I had bought a cheaper "flat" metal strip elsewhere - it bent and buckled on 5th use. This Deawahsing has a thick shaft, and so is very strong, and is also ergonomically shaped. I have a 34" inside leg and for some it might be a bit short if one cannot flex knees, so maybe then used sitting down. However, I strongly recommend it as fit for purpose - you get what you pay for. Update at month 4: - still brilliant

I cannot describe how lovely and elegant this shoehorn looks. It feels like it is almost indestructible and that only a track dozer running over it can damage it. I am not sure from what metal it is forged but do know that it is not iron as I cannot pick it up with a magnet. The handle is a nice long length, and the slide that fits behind the foot has just the correct curvature for my feet, so putting on my shoes is so easy and my poor index fingers can take a rest.

It's a lovely sturdy shoehorn but being over six foot tall I would have liked it a bit longer. It was described as extra long but it is not as long as the plastic ones I have but it is wider. I find it difficult bending down and am still in the process of deciding whether it is for me.

Who can’t bend comfortably to get his shoes on and needs something that’s not going to injure his skin, as is diabetic and will absolutely not heal. He seems very pleased. Very long and very sturdy. No bending required at all. He’s mastered it. In fact, he seems to think every home should have one, less as a shoe horn and more “in case of intruders”. Am not entirely sure he remembers he’s circling 90, deaf and going blind, but if this keeps him happy 🤷🏻‍♀️ Win win

I first made the mistake of buying the cheaper and thinner long shoe horn that’s available by multiple sellers. It had a sharp edge and ended up bending. Reading the reviews I decided to try this shoe horn. Believe me when I say you won’t be disappointed with this product and it will last forever. It’s ergonomic handle is a nice touch and it’s made out of aluminium so although light it’s very strong being cast and relatively thick. Don’t think, buy one and see for yourself!

Looking for a second shoehorn and found this model which is both attractive and robust. Does the job, doesn't look awful and as my OH pointed out, would give a burglar a headache too! Only thing the manufacturer could do to improve would be to include a strap for hanging (the shoehorn, not the burglar).
