Great beginers rod they are strong and lightweight the only thing is the line on the reel is not the greatest and will have to be changed to a low memory mono but apart from that excellent quality of rod updated reel has broken after one day fishing caught two fish and then it broke my son was very disappointed and upset they did send a replacement and have to say very impressive rod set

Great all round and arrived early really happy

Nice little rod for my grandson, however the supplied line is not of any quality (very thick and has a memory) and ‘birds nests’ easily, the reel is flimsy and will need to be replaced, the lure is not great, and the treble hook is ludicrous. I’m surprised Matt Hayes has lent his name to this.

This rod is fantastic for my daughter, she has caught many fish with it.

Great starter kit for a child

Landed a 3lb wild brown trout with this rod earlier this year. No problems with the rod at all. Small but very sturdy. It's a good telescopic rod for the price

Great little Rod/reel set for our 5 year old. Nice and compact but durable. It coped brilliantly with several 4lb carp and also didn't miss a beat when she hooked into a 12.5lb fish! Highly recommend.
