Forever Brand Laser Dark No-Cut Low Temp Heat Transfer Paper 8.5" x 11" - 25 Sheet

So I bought this paper on accident and had not had an opportunity to use it since I had no white toner printer. But I recently purchased one had a shirt order and pulled this paper out thats been sitting in my home for months. I love it. Worked great. I was able to print, marry, press and finish most of the shirts in a record time for ME. To think I almost returned the paper until I found out there was a high restocking fee. I chose to give it away before returning it. But it is a GREAT product. I will be ordering more.

The first few times using this, I had problems getting a full transfer. Kept playing with it until I got the press times correct for my equipment. Now it transfers perfect everytime. My problem was the A/B press. First was using it at 30 seconds and not getting a good Peel. Almost gave up on it but then pressed them for 120 seconds at 320 degrees and the transfers are perfect. The review about it being shiny, obviously can't follow directions, must press with parchment paper for 30 seconds after transfer. Will be buying a lot more and selling a bunch of shirts.

First off, the product didn't come with instructions. I had to count on YouTube videos and the manufacturer's website to figure out what settings I needed to use this transfer paper. The problem is that the website and YouTube videos give conflicting information. I've gone through almost half of them and still have not gotten one to weed correctly. The various instructions tell you not to peel the B paper from the A paper too fast, or else the design could weed incorrectly, but then they also tell you not to peel too slowly, or else the paper will cool and the glue won't transfer. It's been impossible to find a middle ground that works. In most cases, a piece of the design gets torn off, and there's no way to fix it. Even though all of my designs on the A paper had pieces missing, I attempted to transfer them to fabric just to see what they felt like. The final result has a very loud, crunchy, and papery feel to it that doesn't seem like it would be comfortable on a t-shirt at all. If you can get it to work, the final result might be good for a small logo or a design on the back of a jacket. But I can't see anyone wanting something that feels like this on a t-shirt. This paper is too expensive for the amount of waste that it produces. But I don't plan to send the leftovers back. I'm going to go through every remaining sheet at different settings to see if I'm able to get any of them to work. If I can, I'll try to update this review with the results. But half of them are used, and I haven't had a single success yet, so I'm not very optimistic.

I have left 2 reviews - one great and then a follow-up bad review. In all fairness, I found out that my heat press's base plate is warped, so the transfers were not getting uniform pressure. Therefore, I am rescinding my poor review, ordered another pack of transfers, and will test strips after my base plate is fixed. For now, I'm giving 4/5 stars.
