INJOY ORGANICS Inka Instant Grain Beverage, 8.75 OZ

I love this coffee substitute! I used to use Postum, but the ingredients bothered me (it has one gram of wheat bran fiber per serving, and insoluble fiber and I aren't exactly on friendly terms). But this has only barley and rye, with zero fiber, so it's working very well for me. I've been having a mug at each meal, in the afternoon, and at night, as well as in the morning on the very cold days we've just experienced, and I've had no digestive upset whatsoever. And as someone who has both IBS and IBD, that's saying a lot.For anyone who has ragweed allergy, like I do, this will be a blessing and a half. Because a lot of the coffee substitutes around use chicory root, and it is in the same family as ragweed; some people have used chicory root, or inulin made from it (and most inulin is), and they've had anaphylactic shock from it. So this beverage would solve more than one problem for many of us.Also, there are a lot more servings per container than are in Postum, for less cost. And it really does taste like coffee! I make mine weak, not quite a teaspoon to about 12 oz. of water. I have it with foods I used to have coffee with, and it's so close to coffee that I'm surprised anew each time I make a fresh mug.

May I start by saying I Am a coffee lover, dark espresso, and have tried Pero and a few coffee substitutes in the past - which I did not like well enough to reorder...they were just okay....So I had little expectation INKA would be much different. While it is not coffee, I absolutely Love this product and find its flavor robust enough that I do consider it a go - to coffee alternative. I want a break from the caffeine and this is perfect. INKA is a product I will always keep on hand and will definatley reorder. VERY happy I tried it, and highly recommend.

I just received my Inka, made a cup and it is delicious. It had a delicious smell and a marvelous taste. I first tried it plain and then with milk and sugar. Either way was tasty! It’s suggested serving size is one tsp but for a richer taste two teaspoons would hit the spot!

Loved this drink, terrible shame it's not available anymore.

I like this as a coffee substitute at night instead of decaf coffee. I make it with half water and half almond milk. 👍

Just like in my young years in Europe. My son loves his " coffee" too ;)
