I bought a lavelea microphone quite a few months ago, primarily for connecting to an audio recorder for narration on video projects. The microphone was good, but unfortunately has a 4-pole connector for a mobile phone jack. This cable takes that 4-pole connector, and splits it into stereo audio, and stereo microphone, on individual 3.5mm 3-pole jacks.What can I say? It does the job, which is a relatively easy task, so no big surprises there. At this level of audio, gold connectors are not really making a noticeable difference, but they look nice. And at least on this type of cable they make a little bit of sense (seriously, HDMI cables with gold connectors are daft, but I have seen TOSLINK optical cables that have gold connectors... Yes - freaking light based optical links, just let that sink in... There is no electrical component to an optical cable). Sorry - went off on a complete tangent there.The cables feel heavy duty enough to put up with being used without any real concern. Where the cable splits, there is a pretty chunky stress reliever element. The jack and connectors all have small stress relievers on them, and they will no doubt put up with light use, the are not going to stand up to being yanked too often. Works well with the 4-pole microphone connected to my digital dictaphone, and works well connecting it to my older laptops and desktops.If only I could come up with fun and interesting stories to make my review more interesting. But there isn't much you can say about an inexpensive audio cable splitter other than, it works, sound quality is fine for my purposes, and I expect it to last. (I have owned it for about four months now, but only needed it for about five hours of recording so far).

I bought this on prime it arrived after a fight trying to get my headset to work with it it worked however the quality of the item has not satisfied me if you turn up the mic db theres too much crackeling sound and hissing also the input jack that leads of to the two connectors the blue metal sleeving was off it it will not screw back on as its liturally screwing metal onto plastic thread and is crossthreading everytime attempting to put it back on overall i wont be buying one again instead i have had to pay out for a usb mic connection convertor to convert the two inputs of this lead to usb input however i have yet to try it as it only arrived today it fails to mention in the description that you have to have a 4 pin conection on your pc or xbox controle this has led to me having to purchase a xbox extender also when buying things like this look at the connector if it has the 3 black rings it wont work with 2 pin standard pc onboard sound i found out this the hard way make sure it has the same connection as a standard pc desk mic or headset or best bet is buy a new headset i tried 2 different ways conecting it and the only way was to install a 3.5 jack to usb sound card which i hope will.solve the issue with hissing while in games and echo problem it comes with no manual or instructions so beware to check your connections before purchasing this

I have used this product for almost 3 years now , it has been really helpful connecting my headphone mostly to an Xbox controller and means the sound quality is even better. This product has been reliable I would would recommend it to anyone

They look good and they work really well.Just turned to PC gaming and my ps4 headphones didn't work for the pc till I got these splitters and now everything is perfect. I would recommend

Do not waste your money! The audio quality on this is dreadful to the point this product is unusable. When using the splitter on my PC which has separate headphone and mic jacks the headphone audio comes through fine but the mic crackle is unbearable, you cannot be heard on a voice chat (Discord) at all and it's so loud all the time even with ambient sound. I have tried with multiple headphones and I still have the issue. Now I know why this was so cheap, it doesn't function properly and feels a rip off even at this price.
