They just refuse to grip onto the tiles and are therefore useless for me
As a rule, if I can not say anything positive about a purchase, I will say nothing. In this case I am going to break that rule because these safety grips do not attach to tiles. I would expect that many bathrooms/showers have tiles on the walls and I thought that these grips were for a bathroom. I didn't expect them to be robust enough to take my whole weight but hoped they would give me something to hold on to when in the shower to help with my balance. They just refuse to grip onto the tiles and are therefore useless for me. A very chunky design and very cheap but not much use.

I'm impressed now I've seen them in action
Please read with the thought in mind that these are not safety rails. They are very, very useful; in fact, I'm trying my hardest to make my shower area as safe as I can with the proviso that I am not allowed to fit anything in place as a permanent feature in my flat without permission. So, I saw these rails! I miss my other rail which was fitted by an Occupational Therapist very, very much. These ones are a bit bulky to look at on the bathroom wall, but they give me what I need for now: a realistic safe showering aid, although I warn you, even once fitted as per the description, you may find that one of the cups does not stick fully to a tiled wall. Mine didn't either, at first, until I ran my shower; the walls had a bit more water on the tiles, and I was then able to 'encourage' the rubber cup to stick properly. No wonder the advice is to check the fitting before every bath or shower you have! Another piece of advice, which I stand by with a gentle warning is that these grips ARE NOT to be used as safety grips. They will not hold a person's weight, no matter how tiny you may be. If you need a proper safety rail, go to your GP and ask to see an Occupational Therapist who will come to your home, measure up and order one to be brought to you. The person who brings it should fit it where you want it. At least, that's how things used to be done. Failing that, those rails are cheap enough. Get a pal to fit one for you. You only need to drill two holes in the wall and screw-fit the rail to the wall. If you are reasonably well and just need something to balance on, these will do, but again, they are not for holding your whole body weight. Try that, and I promise, you will have an accident. Don't risk it if you are very disabled. For those of us who can manage reasonably well, these are a treat

Arrived quickly and good price. This is a set of two
Arrived quickly and good price. This is a set of two, one is great, sticks well to tiles and suction great. The other however, one end has amazing suction the other end not so good it sticks to tiles but minutes later comes unstuck, could not rely on this one for the stability needed when getting out of a shower if you are unsteady on your feet. Overall good product but just wish all suction pads stuck to wall the same.

Comfortable grip ... great ifs you are a quilter and you struggle with large rulers
Im a bit late with the review, but .... i bought these because Im a quilter and I have problems holding and picking up large ruler - the 24" in particular. The ruler would move a lot because I could not sustain the strength in my hands to hold the ruler and make a straight cut. These safety grip handles are great. The suction keeps them firmly on the ruler and I find I can press onto the handle more comfortably when making a cut. There is the added bonus of being able to pick the ruler up off the fabric easily because the grab handle is very secure. i know Im not using the grab handles in the way intended, but these have made using a large ruler so much safer for me especially when using a rotary cutter.

Top quality bargain; hugely exceeded my expectations 6*
Amazing value for money; these are absolutely top draw. The design is excellent and the grip astoundingly strong if you use it correctly. They made my Mum's visit a much safer and more comfortable occasion. Also the design is really pleasing and elegantTop tip: you must put the suckers on a flat, preferable polished surface. If you put the suckers over grouting between tiles then the seal will be poor. The same is true for uneven surfaces or textured tiles. Used correctly, the tiles will tear off the wall before they come off.

Must have totally Flat surface
This is a good product. We have two at home for my daughter who has a long term illness. They are fitted on flat tiles and work great. 4-5 stars.I bought 2 more for my father who is now struggling with mobility but his tiles are grooved / patterned so the handles don’t work. In right place they are great but be warned you do need totally smooth surface. Gloss door ok, smooth tiles ok but not grooved tiles or plasterboard walls etc.

As much use as a Chocolate Teapot!
Put them on my smooth.clean and shinny bathroom tiles in the shower and within 5 hours they have fallen off. So for and sense of security when using them is doubtful. I have bought the inexpensive ones and the expensive ones and none of them do as they say they will do. Buyer walk by.

Stick with these safety grips.
Both handles stuck firmly to tiles. Tiles were glossy, first cleaned and polished, and the suction pads rubbed with a wet finger. They will not stick to textured tiles or over a join in the tiles, so will probably not work very well with the old 4 inch square Crystal tiles. They have remained firm over several days now.
