Can I connect the 'top' vertical rods directly to the bottom (making it not adjustable)? I need a height of 68cm (165cm - 97cm), not 97cm. Thanks

Well basically no is the answer. But there is an option you could consider, I don't know if it would be any help, The two side poles come connected, you can just extend to the height you want. I measured the Garment rail from the bottom to the two connecters on the side poles, I then added another 2 cms, which allows for the top part of the poles to be slightly extended so the top pole can be fitted (you have to screw it in to top part of the side poles that extends, the screws are in the the top rail already, you just need to tighten them). The height comes to 82 cm in height, which is just above the two connectors. If you do decide to get this you won't be disappointed! It's strong. Holds about 30 garments roughly. I had two Garment Rails before, different make. They were rubbish compared to this! They fell over after 12 garments were put on them in 1-2 minutes. This one's like an old friend now. Worth every penny!

Can someone please confirm the minimum front length please? (Including the T connectors on top)

Gemini Cru. the minimum top front length is 87 centimetre. (34 and 1/4 inches). With both of the top rods in the T connectors, extended on each side, the width is 151 centimetre. (59 and 1/2 inches).You can extend the top rods individually,or both at the same time. that's what I like about the versatility of this garment clothes rack. cheers.

Please can you tell me if the rails top and bottom can be cut to a shorter width.

Hi. The bottom rail can be cut shorter in length but the top rail has pull out hanging space about 8 inches long on both ends. These are telescopic ends which fit into the top rail internally. If you dont want to install the top rail, go to B&Q and buy the same diameter hanging rail pipe which comes in chrome to match. Just cut it to size and install.

Hi, how stable it will be if bottom horizontal bar is not attached, will it bear 5 KG load in the ansense of bottom horizontal bar?

I’m using mine to hold all our winter coats so it’s holding quite some weight and is perfectly stable, not sure that it would be without the bottom bar. I worked in clothing retail and certainly of the bottom bar popped out of any whilst we were moving it the whole thing would collapse
