It is recommended that an SPF-containing cream be applied to the skin prior to the application of Carrot Sun products, or that you have a base tan prior to their use.

Do you need a base tan first before using this?

Hi there, Carrot tan accelerating cream is the first and original tanning cream developed by Carrot Sun®. This cream will get you as tanned as possible and will allow you to get very dark- fast! It is best used on olive skin or on fair skin that already has a base tan. We hope this helps!

Does this work on skin that’s hard to tan?

It does work on skin that's hard to tan, if you go on the carrot sun website and go on the the blog page there is a skin chart which will show you the recommended product to use.

does this contain self tan?

Thank you for your enquiry. Carrot Sun contains a type of bronzer called Henna, but it's not at all a fake tan/self-tanner. Carrot Sun will not give you streaky tan and only works when you are exposed to the sun or on a sunbed. The henna will simply enhance your tan and make it last longer! No matter how you apply it, you should get an even, natural tan!
