Q: can i use this compound to cast pewter products?

NO! That would be molten metal; this is for casting resins, plaster, etc.

Q: will it withstand the temperature of melted silver ? i was wanting to make a mold to pour my own silver sticks for Colloidal Silver rods

No it will not with stand the high temp. You need a special form which I have one of but can't remember what it's called at the moment. You can look up smelting or melting metals. Sheila

Q: What is the highest temperature this mold could withstand? Can it be baked in an oven?

I am not sure what the manufacturer's suggestions are on baking, but I can tell you that I have baked it in an oven with success. I use them with polymer clay and Fimo Deco Gel and it works fine. I use a toaster oven for my clay pieces and although temperature varies depending on the piece, I usually never go over 250 degrees. The longest I have baked a pieces has probably been around 30-40 minutes, with an aluminum foil "tent" used over the piece. The mold came out fine and I am still using molds I have had for a long time. If you want to be safe--as oven temps vary-- do a test piece before baking any of your pieces in it. Hope this helps!

Q: Would this size be enough for a Barbie face?

You could make many Barbie faces. You don't need to make the mold thick. The cured silcon rubber is very strong. Make sure you pay attention to the mixing and molding time. You only have about 3 minutes to mix and mold before the rubber starts to harden.
