Ball falls through the holder as the hole is to big
The pin chuck provided is not suitable for the ball end of the wigglers and neither will it hold the offset wiggler as the ball falls through the hole . Several reviewers make the same complaint. It is dangerous to hold the ball end in a normal chuck - it could fly out. The chuck should retain the ball end but allow it to spin around. How Silverline could supply something that doesn’t work beats me. It is cheap, but it should do what it supposed to do. I wonder if the people who gave good reviews received a different product, certainly a large number of reviewers had the same experience as me.

Worked better than I expected
I set up a test on my milling machine by cutting a face and zeroing the DRO. Use the wiggler to detect the edge. By approaching the edge slowing and stopping when the wiggle flew off I got the correct reading to the thou every time. I don't think the centre finder will be a good, but edge finding much better than the other type with spring loaded cylinder which I have found can be 2 to 3 thou out and is not as easy to use.

Works well
The ONLY reason I have given this 4 stars is because the chuck that comes with the package is in Imperial (inches) and all our arbour chucks have metric collets so I have had to buy an imperial collet just for this. That said it works well and I've had no problems using this simple but effective tool.

You won't need to wiggle out of this
An essential item for any workshop with a drill, mill or lathe.Why pay a fortune for big named stuff when these are perfectly adequate for centering and edge finding.Fast delivery and cheap price, what more could you ask for.I now buy everything through Amazon. They have shown themselves to me to be honest and on the side of fair play. Long may it continue.
