KOH-I-NOOR Coloured Leads for 2mm Diameter 120mm Mechanical Pencil - Blue, 12 Count (Pack of 1)

A few of the leads were broken on arrival, but it is not that surprising as they are quite soft. I really like them and the color they have, but for some who press hard they may not be all that great.

These are very soft compared to the Staedtler ones. The box arrived and most of them had broken during transit. They produce a beautiful mark but again they snap when drawing with them. I've sent them back but went for a replacement rather than a refund as they are nice to use but just not robust. Hopefully the replacements will arrive in one piece.UPDATESo just an update on this. I was sent out a replacement box of leads. They were packed tight into the box (the same amount of leads) and because they couldn't move, none were broken. I can only guess that they have changed the box design and are still sending out old boxes.

The product arrived on time. Price was about right. I didn’t have to find a specialist shop. Perfect for my needs

These are an very inexpensive, 2mm blue lead that is roughly the same shade as Ultramarine in watercolour. It goes down smoothly and sharpens well but seems pretty indelible, more than the average oil-based pencil. It doesn't work as a non-photo blue either. You can easily overlay graphite on top of it if you wish.I'm going to use them for editing and underlining text ,"blue-pencilling" like an old-school sub-editor, which I suspect they are designed for, but won't be using it for underdrawing for the above reasons.

Works perfectly in my clutch pencil.

Just love these leads, great intensity and depth of colour.

Very cheap and crayon-like. They don't produce nice results and go blunt after a couple of words.
