Nutramax Denamarin for Large Dogs, Liver Health Supplement with S-adenosylmethionine (SAMe) plus Silybin, Liver Support for Dogs, Coated Tablets, 30 Count

Denamarin has been successful in reducing my dog’s elevated liver enzymes, which resulted from years of taking daily anti-epileptic drugs (phenobarbital, topiramate). His ALP was 1426 before and is now in the low 400s. A significant improvement. I purchase the pill form, not the chewable tablet and have been getting it delivered monthly using subscribe and save for the past three years now. Never any issues with delivery or it being out of stock. It’s about the same price as it would be from chewy. The pills are a quite large for a small dog but he has no issues swallowing them. I give it to him right before I go to sleep around 11pm. Even though it’s supposed to be given on an empty stomach for optimal absorption, I follow up with a cucumber slice or blueberry- something juicy to help it go down. Many dogs have trouble taking pills, so some hide it inside food then they spit it out, and it becomes a whole song and dance. I find the best way is to open their mouth and drop it down the back of their throat. Sometimes easier said than done though.

Same thing that you get from the veterinary office though still about the same cost. Good for old dogs with liver issues. NOT chewable, you will have to wrap something around it or your dog will just spit it out.

Outstanding liver support product for dogs. Surprised to see it on Amazon at a significantly lower price than my vets. Dogs tend to not like the taste, so consider using pill pockets. Pills are long ovals and can be split in half. (As can the pill pockets) Good proven supplement with great price.

Great value, cheaper than what the vets office sells it for. Keeps my dog with liver issues feeling great!

Expensive but effective for our large senior dog who had a stroke a couple months ago. Our senior dog had no issues with the size or taste, she gulped it down with a little chicken. Due to the sheer price point, I would recommend purchasing through Costco instead at this price point.

Used this for my elderly poodle and it brought their liver levels to acceptable numbers. A bit of a hassle that it has to be taken on an empty stomach, though. Two hours after a meal or an hour before a meal which with dogs, is not easy to do.

This is a great product. My 13 year old pug had elevated liver enzymes and since starting this over a year ago, levels have remained within normal limits!
