BaxxtarPRO NOVO II Full-Size SLR Camera Case Holster Bag (Waist Strap)

Bought this to replace a smaller holster when I added a 18-400mm zoom to my camera. Bag takes camera plus lens and hood extended with comfort. Bag is well made and has two straps. Side and top pockets for filters etc plus rain cover.

Bought as a used item from Amazon warehouse I was a bit anxious about it. It arrived and was immaculate! I needed it as the Amazon basics holster was too small for my Canon 5dii and battery grip. A previous review said a 5diii wouldn't go with the grip attached but as you can see mine fits fine if you put the flat edge of the grip at the "hinge" side of the lid, leaving the prism some flexibility at the other side. Hoping to get out with it when it dries up a bit!

Great little bag but don't expect to fit a pro camera and lens in. Canon 5D mk4 with battery grip and the goto 70-200/2.8 ver2 do not fit. With a 17-105/4.0 ver2 it does fit but the camera body is tight. 80D with 70-300 ver2 fit great so using it for the backup camera but not a great option for Pro kit. 5D would be ok without the battery grip but as I never go without it I am a bit disappointed on that front.That aside the quality is good, stitching seems firm and all fabrics good. A definite go to bag for the large APS/C or small full frame camera. Truly worth the money.

I bought this camera case because my Lowe Pro holder is just a bit too small for when one of my longer lenses is attached to the camera. I have purchased different LowePro cases to replace the previous one, but the one I needed is no longer made and the newer offerings are too bulky. This is an ideal size for my requirements. There is a rain pouch which you choose where to keep. The internal Velcro partitions make the inside customisable. The case feels sturdy and thick enough for protection against light knocks without being too bulky. The external pouches (front and top) are a good size. To be picky, the front pouch zip opens to the bottom, so you have to be careful to close it to make sure stuff does not fall out. The top pouch has two zips which are close to the main zips and easy to open in error. Again - need to make sure that it does not flap open. Overall this case is what I needed, and I have been very pleased with it.

This case offers an alternative way to carry a DSLR fitted with a long lens rather than carrying by a strap around the neck. With a waistband and a shoulder strap it certainly distributes the weight far better and it still allows quick access to the camera.

Bulky but does the job!

These cases are where it's at when it comes to holding a DSLR and 70-300 telephoto zoom lens – if that is all you want is to carry.I'm an opportunist wildlife photographer and the case is excellent to hold my camera and lens when I am walking the dog. The front pocket has an elasticated pocket, behind a zip, that I can store the lens cap securely and do the operation one handed if I'm in a hurry.Construction has stood the test of time having been used regularly since I bought it over a year ago. The shoulder strap (don't know why the current description talks about a waist strap) clasps don't look the most robust but could easily be replace.The pocked on the top is a bit irritating as it is right next to the zip for the main compartment and I have used the wrong one on occasions but it is only a minor point.

Theses camera cases offer a very positive travelling experienceMt camera feels secure in the padded pouch and the long lenses I own easily fit within the case.I highly recommned this camera case for your next purchase
