UMAM Scottish Traditional Tam o' Shatner Acrylic Wool Tammy Hat Flat Bonnet Kilt Many Tartans

I wanted to create a "Highlander" character for a fun video, and could not afford traditional, "authentic" Scottish wardrobe. This costume "tam" is perfect - inexpensive, yet good-looking. Also, I have a big head, and this "one-size-fits-all" really does!

I tried buying one of these Tams from an online kilt shop, but I was severely disappointed in the fit and finish.So happy to have found a decent product with correct colour, and no polyester fibres. It fit me 61cm noggin just fine!The band portion is not "true" black, though. It settles to more brown-black, but for the price, I'll not be complainin'.

It wasn't entirely what I expected. It has a renaissance style to it and not as wide a rim as I thought it would be, but it stretches nicely and the style actually went well with my Adirondack Kilt kit. Very comfortable and didn't flop when I added feathers and a broach on the side. I later added a deer tail with the heavy broach and it still held on without flopping out. I was impressed. I bought one when I was in Scotland but lost it. It looked so good on I had to have another one. This is a good substitute.

I’m using mine to go with my Celtic outfit . It’s just that something special .
