This book is really great and I find it indispensable
This book is really great and I find it indispensable, I use recipes from it in my automatic soup maker nearly every day. Most of the soups are from basic vegetable ingredients but the combinations are really tasty and trouble-free to prepare. Some (not all) of the recipes include some frozen or tinned veg but these are so successful that one would not guess they were from convenient sources. I appreciate the fact that most of the recipes are dairy free and so I have recently bought a second copy of this book for my daughter who has dairy restrictions. The book has got a large variety of different soups. I am very grateful that this book has been produced thank you.

Very useful
This is a very useful book, filled with great recipes. The only downside I have is that I downloaded as a kindle format as really don't need another cookery book on my shelves but it is awkward to negotiate as looking through the index to find a recipe and then locating it in the kindle version is hard as there are no page numbers. It is a bit of a guessing game where the page is. It is such a reasonable price that is probably better to get the printed format and make the shelf longer!,

If this book were a soup it would be a reliable leek and potato one
This is a decent soup recipe book with lots of good soup options. However, I do feel it is not necessarily the best one out there (see review for The Skinny Soup Maker Recipe Book). My big peeve is the kindle version has no list of all the soups, just a quick jump menu to different types of soup. This is quite frustrating in first world problem kind of way. In addition some of the recipes were more complex than I wanted, put ingredients in soup maker, turn on, wait, pour, was what I wanted. Not brown this, squeeze that, wait for the other.Overall it is a good book, but considering it is for a no fuss gadget like the soup maker, it is too much hard work.

A great buy
This book is just perfect. The instructions for each recipe are clear and recipes cover a wide range of meat, vegetables and fruit recipes. There are plenty of 'different' recipes to try and some store cupboard staples. There are both chilled and hot recipes to try and I'm sure that there is something for everyone in here.I have completed approx 10 recipes so far and the quantities were spot on and the flavours went well together; I particularly enjoyed the Butternut Squash and Bacon and my husband loved the Spiced Parsnip and Apple and the Mushroom Soup is one of the best that I have ever tasted.I like the fact that recipes instructions are given for both blender-style and jug-style soup makers as I had struggled to find a good book that included jug-style recipes.I'm so glad I bought this book and will have plenty of fun trying out the more adventurous recipes

Tasty recipes any time of the year
After receiving a soup maker as a wedding present earlier this year, I found the recipe book that came with it wasn't particularly good - apart from the basic vegetable soup recipe, there wasn't really anything else that inspired me. A quick search on Amazon soon rectified that though when I came across this book designed for two types of soup maker - jug style (which I have) and blender style. This is a really good book with just enough recipes to give you a choice without being so jam-packed you don't know which one to start with first. Most of the ingredients are simple ones you can buy at the local supermarket or fruit and veg stall and so far I've found preparation and cooking time to be no more than about 45 mins in total for a single recipe. The book includes recipes for cold soups, vegetable and meat soups and sweet soups too, which although not something I'd heard of before or considered trying, would definitely be something I'd try now I have the recipes to work with. The only downside with this book is that the pages are of quite low-grade paper and definitely not wipe clean, meaning you have to be extra careful if you have it out on the kitchen work suface when you're doing your prep work - some of the pages in mine now have permanent stains and blotches from my (less than) tidy chopping!
