A surprisingly heavy duty marine camera
I wanted to have a camera to place it in my koi pond. This camera is meant for underwater and rough marine conditions. The camera is heavy and weighs more than five pounds. The camera body is made of stainless steel. (316L) It looks quality made. It has a 2.8 mm lens and a resolution of 5MP. The long Ethernet cable (10 meter ) allows you to place the camera far away. Since the camera is POE (Power Over Ethernet) you do not need a separate power cable to run to the camera. It is a lot easier when it is POE. You simply plug it into the NVR that comes with the system. The NVR comes with a 4 port POE switch and a 1TB storage. It was fine for my purposes and I might use the remaining 3 POE ports to add other cameras for recording. It was easy for me to configure the camera and the NVR. You do need basic computer skills. I was concerned about the streaming quality and the stability of the system. I have had no issues so far. The camera and the NVR have not acted funny or rebooted and it’s been over two weeks of continuous use/recording so far. Overall , if you are looking for marine grade high quality camera, this is a good choice and the price point is good when compared to similar class marine cameras

Quality Camera Meant to Last! Good tech support
The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a quality IP security camera that could also be mounted underwater. And this is exactly what I needed. The camera weighs 3+ pounds it’s made of solid stainless steel on the housing there is a special underwater cable that’s very robust is 32 feet long so this could be mounted pretty deep underwater and then use a junction box to connect your ethernet cable to run up to 328 feet back to the recorder. The recorder has a 1 TB internal hard drive which will record for up to 20 days. There’s also room for expansion for three more cameras so you could put this at the end of a pier and have four cameras running back to the recorder. The recorder allows you to instantly view all the cameras on a TV with HDMI cable. Or you could also remotely access the recorder from your phone or computer anywhere in the world. I had one or two set up questions and I emailed their support team and they got back to me very quickly and solved my questions. Barlus underwater cameras I really made a name for themselves in the North America USA market. They have many options available and this camera also has small LED lights so you can turn them on remotely underwater if you ever need to illuminate something. This would also be a great camera for people that need something very strong such as inside a car wash it’s getting hit by water all day long, or aquariums, or research and study under a river, or any other application where you need a very very well protected solid camera. I mounted this underwater at our lake it’s been there for a month and it’s working wonderful. If anything changes I will update my review but I am very happy with Barlus and they’re underwater camera systems. I said alternate companies and it was going to be $2,000-$4000 for a similar product and I don’t think it would be any better than this one. Don’t look elsewhere look at Barlus cameras!
