Rustic Vintage Leather Bound Journal - 200 Pages, 10"X7", Vintage - Handmade Antique Deckle Edges Watercolor Paper - Book of Shadows/Spell - Writing Notebook Sketchbook for Women and Men

This is a nicely bound book, with nicely textured medium weight blank pages. The paper color is similar to school quality manilla paper, making it nice for images using opaque white for highlights. Its a very nice drawing surface for dry media, though its just a bit too absorbent for watercolor - not bad for drybrush, but just a touch dicey for wet surface work. I find that when working with a dip pen, the soft paper surface can shred occasionally - with a rapidograph or felt tip it takes the ink nicely though. The binding is tight and opens nearly flat when required. It has a classy rustic look to it, with nice ridges on the spine. I have quite a collection of high end blank books and this one compares very nicely to the best of them. At this price point, its an excellent value!

My journal arrived on time and I want to say that it is beautiful. I ordered the 6x4 vintage journal and it is perfectly perfect. The paper is exquisite. This journal is exactly what I was looking for and it will complement my journey with the Zentangle method of drawing and when it is filled I will be ordering another. What I love: - this feels unique! I love that each piece of paper is just a little bit different texture, sometimes off-colored. Some pages are thinner than others. If you're expecting a perfectly manufactured book, this is not is not the type of product you're looking for. If you want some quirky—the best descriptor I can come up with at the moment—look no further! This journal has so much vintage character. - I am always skeptical when someone says a product is handmade on an Amazon listing, but this does feel like it could be actually true! - I love that I can paint on the cover and really make it my own. - really high quality and sturdy! It feels like it was made well and the pages are secured nicely. If the binding starts to break, I'll update. I'm hoping that this will last for a very, very long time. - mixed media paper. You can do any sort of art that you fancy on it. This makes for a great art journal. Can use for scrapbooking and journaling, too. I am using this for a visual memory journal sort of thing, focused on my family and hobbies and our favorite moments and accomplishments. What I don't love: - the ends of the pages have an almost wafery sort of feel. The varying thicknesses of each page can make it a little hard to turn the pages sometimes. I think once I start filling it up with paint and the pages get sturdier, that should make it easier, so I'm not overly concerned. Overall, I really love this journal! It's perfect for what I wanted.

I have bought this product 3 seperate times because I loved the first one but the paper quality changed and I can not use any kind of blending one the second and third books without the paper pilling and coming apart. Forget about any erasing. I’m just disappointed about the change in paper quality and wish they would go back to the original paper quality. Other than that it is a really cool little book and I have gotten many compliments about it’s outward appearance!

Beautiful book! Pages are so pretty and easy to write on, glue on, and use markers on. I made the mistake of using vinyl sticker from my Cricut on the cover and that did not go well so please don’t do that. I was able to fix it with decoupage though so it’s decoupage friendly. Definitely worth the money to purchase. You have to be careful with it but I feel it’s holding up well.
