Early days, but a great little mini DAB radio
This is an early review and of course time will tell as to durability and battery life, but I can say that this is a great little mini DAB radio.Briefly, it has very good sound quality (depending on headphones/ear buds used) and I find the supplied ear buds perfectly satisfactory, but I listen to more speech than music. I've tried it with 3 different ear buds and one on-ear headset. DAB reception is fine, possibly better than the other 3 DAB radios in my life. It's easy to set up and use. The display is very clear and readable. I like the design and soft touch, grippy case and I'm a fan of small, well-designed gadgets. Personally, I'd rather have a countdown sleep timer than an alarm type, but I understand that for some people, the alarm type may be more useful. All in all, I'm very glad I found it.

Fiddly but works well enough (at times)
This DAB radio is no bigger than a small matchbox. As a result, the controls are very fiddly, but overall this produces a clear sound when the signal is strong. I bought this to use in the car, and most of the time it works well enough when connected to the aux socket. The smallness of the radio means it is compact to keep and use in the car, but the strength of the signal varies enormously, depending on location. The supplied aux lead is flimsy and pathetic for getting a decent signal, so an upgrade is recommended for connection. Having the ability to save and access favourite channels is useful. Battery life on DAB is well under the 8 hours or so that the manufacturer claims; mine conks out quite rapidly despite the battery showing a good level of life left. You can charge the battery via USB charger in the car (not supplied with the radio other than the lead) - but can't listen to it when it is charging. It's an okay workaround and cheaper than getting a DAB radio installed in the car - but not perfect by any means.

Really working for me!
I could be tempted to knock a star off, and give just 4 stars (because I feel it is slightly overpriced for what it is, and at that price £49, I might have hoped for a little more "premium feel".But I do have to give 5 stars, for the simple reason that in our poor signal area garden (2.5 acres), it simply locks onto the signal and appears in my early tests to never let it go. I'm really impressed by that, and it means I can walk all around and do gardening, and not have the signal break up, which is really important to me. It found 100 stations, and I was surprised quite how much stuff was coming up, station-wise. I've only used the supplied headphones, but feel that they are more than adequate. Calling it an "Oled" screen might be accurate, but I think this is making it sound more fanciful that it really is. Having said that, the screen is nice and clear, and no complaints.I even drove it the car, lots of trees everywhere, and it did its best to hold onto the signal, even in that tough test. I'd give it about 6.5 out of ten for the 2.5 mile drive I took it on, all in countryside where I'd have expected it to more or less fade away.It even does better than my large Sony DAB, which is great once that settles down, but it (the Sony) can take 3 or 4 mins to really settle, whereas this little radio is good to go immediately, in exactly the same location. So I overlook the price and the slight lack of premium feel, because its actually really working for me. Very happy!

Good, but ...
Impressively compact, as described; easy to use; sound quality remarkably good, though better with higher-quality earphones. However, definitely for urban use - reception in rural and even semi-rural areas is quite poor, with burbling at every step or revolution of the pedals. This makes it on balance rather a pricey acquisition, and unnecessarily so, as it's only designed in Denmark - it's actually manufactured in China.

FANTASTIC- THIS IS THE GOOD ONE, SUPER PLEASED- PERFECT
I've tried 3 small Pocket Radios recently and been really disappointed.I use it for gardening, so its got to be robust. This one is FANTASTIC !I struggle with technology usually, but this was so simple to work out, even if the instructions had to be read with a magnifying glassSound quality very good both in FM and DAB. Buttons easy to use. It's smaller and lighter than I expected, which is a real bonus, as it clips effortlessly to my work shirt pocketThe ear phones aren't great.and don't stay in my ears particularly well, think I'll use some othersThe USB charging facility is ideal, and saves messing about with batteries. I've just done 4 hours gardening whilst listening and it only shows half the battery used. I'll charge it up overnight ready for tomorrowIt was a little more than I wanted to spend, but I'm pleased i did- it's a super piece of 'well put together kit'

Poor build quality
Disappointed with this radio. I was initially attracted by the size and mostly positive reviews. It functioned well & I cant fault the performance. The controls are small and fiddly but after a bit of practice work ok. However as others have noted the build quality is poor. Its just not worth the price.

All fur coat.........
Purchased this for gym use, as I like listening to LBC, it certainly looks and feels the part, good quality earphones, and build, but I was very disappointed to find out it only picked up a few stations, no matter where I was, outside, inside. The stations it did pick up were either unknown, or Asian and Islamic stations, so no good to me and certainly not worthy of the price being charged for this item. I'm sure you can buy similar units on another well known auction site, for a fraction of the cost, which will do a better job. I could have been unlucky and got a duffer, but couldn't be bothered with replacing it with another potential faulty unit.Couldn't fault the service received from this seller and Amazon, shame it wasn't matched by the quality of the product purchased. One star for the item, not seller or Amazon, who were great.
