Sliding Patio Door Locks. Security Bolt / Catch for Windows or Doors - White

The lock was damaged with scratching to the paintwork. Poor quality. See photo.

Very basic locks that do the job.Like that one key fits all. Not a problem as locks are on the inside of the house.Used to replace existing locks which unfortunately are no longer available.Hole centres were different to old ones but luckily only had to drill an extra hole on the lock side which was lower than existing hole so unnoticeable as new lock covered the old hole.Hole centre for the lock itself was the same so an easy fit really.

Easy to fit, robust and sturdy lock which locks with a reassuring click.Good value too !

The first one took about 20 mins to fit as I made the mistake of using the secure screws included in the pack which are meant to prevent them being unscrewed. The problem I had is they rounded off and I couldn't screw them in so used some self tapping screws of my own, and then filled the gap and screw head with decorators caulk and once dry will touch up with white appliance / enamel paint.Using the case for the bolt to slide into would have meant drilling through the central panel in my doorframe so I just used built up to a 10mm drill for the bolt and that's secure enough for me.On the second lock, I fitted and aligned the bolt first and once that was drilled, lined that up centrally, before marking the holes for the 2 screws to hold in the main unit.Doing it this way meant the second door lock took 5 minutes to fit.

does what it says on the tin...why pay more?

Easy ro install and does the job

a little bit harder to fit than i expected, its all to do with perfection when first lining it up.great product makes me feel like my house is more secure for a little cost
