I get one bad one every 3 months which as you will know ...
I bought this in February of this year after suffering cold sores for years. I get one bad one every 3 months which as you will know is awful for confidence. Hate going to work with one. Since I got this machine I have had 2 cold sores and this is a fab product. I zap lots when the cold sore appears mines usually appear overnight. This machine stops it in its tracks. They have not fully came out and looked like I had a spot. They heal in a few days normally I had it on my face for 2 to 3 weeks til it had completely disappeared. This heals them so much quicker and makes them so much smaller. This really is a must. I have wasted money on creams and patches which are costly. This may be pricey but worth every penny. I have waited til now to review once I had used it. The cold sore I have at the moment appeared yesterday morning. At this point it has already scanned and looks like a tiny spot on my lip. I am not even bothered about going to work tomorrow with it. Buy This product it's worth every penny.

Price tag sucks but product does seem to work.
I have to say I was definitely dubious about this due to the price tag and after realising they don’t offer on NHS as I was told I was disappointed. After a huge outbreak i’d had enough and purchased it and honestly it makes a huge difference. I use it once every hour or two during a breakout (Like 5 times a day) then use normal Zovirax and it usually either reduces or doesn’t materialise the cold sore at all if you get it early, if you don’t get there early it still seems to reduce healing time and severity and itching. The battery runs out after a few weeks/month which is annoying as you’re constantly replacing it but considering I haven’t had a major cold sore in about 4 months I can deal with it.

Great customer service
This works! I’ve been using one for over ten yearsIt will shorten the time you have a cold soreIt stops mine from getting to the weeping stageYou need to have a battery with a full charge as the green light will come on but it won’t give you three minutes of treatmentGreat customer service when I contacted the supplier with a problem I was told I had a 3 year guarantee

Works, especially well in the first 3 days!
Ok..So does this work? Yes I think soSo I get blisters on my lip about twice a year. Absolutely horrible for me as they are on my lip, not on the side, not on the edge - but on and quite close to the inside.it makes healing really long and hard as the blister never seems to scab (due to constant saliva contact) .Now as soon as I got my blister this time, I put Zovirax on it .. it was late at night so I thought id use the machine next dayI used the machine and, well even after first use my pain decreased.after second use, it was almost like my blister was already scabbing (this never used to happen)This was amazing!I used it every day for the subsequent weekIt kept my healing time still up to 1 week, however it was so much easier of a 1 week with the blister not being an open sore the whole time.I felt like the first 3/4 days were crucial, and after this the machine didn't do muchI did use Zovirax aswell, and I think if u were to use this machine with the said cream and with tablets u would have an easy life! however I hate taking tablets !! ( extreme headache)so from now on I shall be using my cold sore machine and Zovirax cream when the dreaded blisters arrive! (hopefully never again lol)On that note, there is some evidence that this machine decreases future outbreaks, will keep u updated. In terms of the functionality of the machine, its sooooo easy to use. When u press the button its working , keep on lip for 3 minutes & tada, your done! The 3 minutes do seem like decades sometimes though... but thats the least of my worries ;)

It really works!
Long story short: This is really good, its really worth it, buy it.Long story long: I was really skeptical when I came across this product. The price made me very scared, but as I think you must know by now: Someone with a cold sore will do anything to stop/make this go away as fast as possible, so I bought it. I have to say, the first time i tried, it worked miracles. I was way on my home town, last week of vacation when I had an episode, and was really ansious about it, cause I am the kind of person who doesnt leave the house when I have a cold sore. I must also mention that i buy very expensive pills (Penvir - 500 mg) , and even thought they can really stop a cold sore to appear, if you are not fast enough and the episode starts, it doenst really help you with a speed recovery. So, i used this, and let me tell you, my sore looked like it was in the final days when it was only the second day. I am happy to say by day two i was confident enought to leave the house and by day 5 i catch plane home not even remembering i had anything. So, as I said it before: Really worth it the price.

Effective but broke just after one year
Easy to use, used as recommended. Did not have a cold sore for a year during maintenance treatment. Machine broke soon after warranty expired 15 months later. It’s good but not worth £100 if it breaks after one year.

Significantly shortens recovery time
Usually get cold sores once or twice a year, but they then hang around for a month. This device, while not preventing outbreaks or shortening the 2-3 day painful period, seems to at least have cut the recovery time down to 1.5 weeks, which makes it worth the money for me.Note: if you carry it around with you and it gets cold, keep it in an inside pocket. I had it in my purse out in -5°C the other day (I tend to get sores in cold weather) and it started malfunctioning until I warmed it up for a few hours. Then it worked fine again.
