Hi:-) These units have an AudioStrobe decoder and will work very well with the CDs...Should you not want to use a CD player its best to use the highest rate of conversion to MP3 to maintain the AudioStrobe signal strength within the music to obtain the best effects. If you wondering what its like, its the difference between watching a firework display and watching the same display only choreographed to music:-)

Yes, you can - you would need to use the Windows-only Procyon Editor software (free download from the MindPlace support site), and set "DC Offset" to maximum. Reducing that parameter can produce subtle shimmering effects, as well. Thanks for choosing MindPlace!

Yes. Simply use the provided stereo patch cable, turn down the volume and turn up the auxiliary volume.
