I bought this hoping this would help keep stray cats and any animal that poops in my yard away except the bunny's and things like that. I'm hoping it holds up with chicago weather.+s. Motion sensor works great. I have it approximately 4 ft off the ground and it easily covers 30 feet around it.+ seems well built and durable.+flashing light is a nice addition to the other more expensive ones.The only minus I can think of if I had to name 1 would be the sound. Now it does sound like gun shots and dogs barking but the gun shots ands barks happen at same time but in the end it will scare the heck out of any nonsense animal so I guess that is a plus too.+ easy to install and so far definitely getting the job done.

I bought this to keep the deer out of my yard - I combined it with a plastic coyote. The coyote by itself didn't scare them away but they did keep their distance. Hoping this noise maker will make them nervous and not venture into my yard at all.This could be louder which would make it more effective or possibly provide a volume control with a higher volume. The sound quality isn't so good and doesn't really sound like a dog or gun shot but I guess it doesn't matter what it sounds like - it just needs to scare them.EDIT 1/11/2023These do work to scare deer out of the yard. I have 2 of these and I have seen several deer come into my yard that set these things off - the deer run away looking back not sure what is going on. I also have 2 of those plastic coyotes that I parked close to these alarms so that probably helps too because the deer have no way of knowing if they are the source or some electronic device. I also tied a shiny CD around the neck of the coyotes to simulate movement. I see the deer staring at the coyotes not knowing if they are real or not - the light reflects off of the CD so I guess they figure the coyote might be moving. The deer are eating everything in my yard so hopefully my solution works in the long term.

This is a wonderful company to work with. We purchased this light/siren for our RV and after 1 month it quit working. I contacted the company and within just a couple of days, we had a replacement. The new one seems to work so we are very happy. This is a great light/siren for RVs. We had our catalytic converter stolen before we had this on our RV. Now we feel a little more secure that if someone does try to steal it again at least a light and siren will come on. Hopefully, this will be enough to chase off would be burglars! At least it does give us a little more peace of mind.

I bought this item to keep dogs out of my yard and they walk right by them. Also, the item is not as loud as I thought it would be.

We put up three of these motion sensors hoping that they would scare off bears and deer. I must say that the solar collectors work well. We don't have the sunniest yard, yet they gather enough sunlight to work all night. We had a bear the other come into the yard the other night and he walked past the first one. He didn't act scared, but he did hurry along to the backyard where he set off a second one. This time he actually ran away. I know from past episodes with these guys, that they always stop near where our bird feeder was (we bring them in at night) but there is always something on the ground. So far we haven't had any deer in the yard since we put them up but I have a feeling that they will scare the heck out of them. A possum high-tailed it back into the woods, as did a skunk. I wish the sound was a bit more clear... it's a bit fuzzy, but overall we are pleased with these alarms.
