That's Not My Plane

My 11 month old granddaughter has got a few of these books so I decided to get this one to take on the plane for her 1st holiday. It kept her occupied and was definitely a very good purchase. Sturdy and child proof!

My son and I are huge fans of Usborne touchy-feely books, we have read them together since he was a few months old. He is now 11 months and thoroughly enjoys each book! Each board book is perfect for babies and toddlers to handle without you having to worry about torn pages. They withstand drooling, biting and very rough handling and offer a fantastic interactive story with vibrant and colourful illustrations.Each page begins with "That's not my plane" and reads;It's wings are too bumpyIt's engine is too loudIt's wheels are too squashyIt's tail is too glossyIt's propeller is too sparklyThe final page reads " THAT's my plane! It's windows are so shiny.Each page has a corresponding texture for your child to discover.My son loves to point out the textured section and eagerly awaits my praise and claps his hands. I treasure our reading time together each day and have in excess of 10 Usborne touchy-feely books and still enjoy each one!I hope this review was helpful.

Appropriate strength and durability for an inquisitive 5 month old +

Bought as a Baby gift for a pilots son.Bought lots of these books over the years as gifts for little ones. Hours of pleasure sharing books ...My own daughters loved them and if you teach your little ones how to care for books they last for ages.

It's sensory and repetitive nature makes this a great gift for the little ones, i have bought countless "That's not my" books for my nephew and he loves them. I just wish he could read them himself because i think they are slowly driving me mad.

Another great addition to our (growing) collection of That's not my... books.My son really enjoys these, and across the range there is a lot of repetition which I find is very good for my son as he now 'gets' the concept and actively tries to touch the pages.Across the books I have found that the textures are easy to identify and remember, the text per page is concise and clear and the colours are bold and attention grabbing. The books are also quite sturdy, my son has been explored these books alone and none of the books look worse for wear.

This book belongs to the famous Usborne "That's not my.." series. It has a good collection of 6 sensory patches and corresponding words like bumpy, lumpy, sparkly, squashy, glossy and shiny. It doesn't have much words to overwhelm the toddler and is a strong and sturdy board book. It is an ideal first book for babies. But its not for older toddlers more than 2 or 3 years of age.

From 6 months to 2 years - our boy loves this series of books. Absolutely the best value. Also really good gifts.
