Plan B

Thank you Dreamspinner for putting this book on sale, I don't know that I would have come across it had you not and that would have been a travesty! I absolutely adored Danny, he made no apologies for who he was and why the hell should he, he was fab-u-lush, one of my favourite characters in a book ever. I loved the friendship he had with Bo (I've just read a book that stated that gay men and straight men couldn't be friends??!!) and Lance, well sometimes I was so frustrated with him I wanted to throw my kindle and other times I wanted to give him a hug and tell him it would all be ok. Can't recommend this book enough.

This is one of those rare books that ends up being SO MUCH MORE than what the blurb suggests and I very nearly missed it until it popped up as a 99p special fromDSP. Well, I can hand on heart say that even if I hadn't gotten it at such a bargain price, I'd have bought it for the RRP and would have loved it as much and rated it as high.What the blurb doesn't convey is the feelings that are so apparent between both guys and that what they do together, as well as what they don't get to do together, speaks volumes. I loved both guys and the way in which the author wrote Lance didn't make me dislike him for even a second for not wanting to come out or give up his dreams. I thought that the leads were well-matched, and in that HEA that I mentioned? Well, for me the HEA started not in the epilogue but in the penultimate chapter, with THAT confession, THOSE words that needed to be said, heard and felt, and THAT act that I hadn't expected, but which was the only thing to make things 100% right for these guys. THAT announcement in the actual epilogue, with THAT EVENT that was about to happen on NYE, was the total icing on my cake.This book will make you laugh at Danny's snark, feel tenderness at Lance's feelings and snuggle-puppy-ness, and it will break your heart before putting it back together again. I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to read more of these leads living that HEA, but the way the author ended the tale so perfectly, I'm not sure that I'll be getting one.This was an amazing read.P.S - I emailed the author and asked if there might be more in this series, and whilst she's not 100% promised, she did tantalise by saying that she always does a Xmas freebie (I think, or perhaps a shortie) read, so maybe...YES, PLEASE.

What an absolute gem of a story!!This is my first time reading SJD Peterson and I guarantee it won't be the last.I love Danny and Lance, the supporting characters are wonderful and the writing is superb!It's got everything I like in a book, and the cover? Phew!I enjoyed it so much I lost a whole morning at work reading it and, erm...well... NOT working.It was absolutely worth it.Highly recommended.

Awe what a sweet mm romance, i really enjoyed this book.

I loved this book. Didn't want to put it down.Danny and Lance are an unlikely couple but Lance struggles with being gay.Danny had never been shy about who his is and wears him styles proudly, even if it raises more than just a few eye brows.Well written and had you loving both main characters wanting a HEA from start to finish.Brilliant
