I always get an insurgence of hope and Holy Spirit insight when I read his books prayerfully and humbly. The book is big but I savor the opportunity to read it. THIS book is one of a kind that unpacks the Psalms of David like I’ve never seen before. He was an anointed master writer. Don’t pass this book up!

One of my favorites ..... after the Bible
This is an amazing commentary by the Prince of Preachers whose insights on the Psalms of David are timeless. I recommend it to all my Bible study friends as well as other "spiritually-minded individuals." Great insights for everyday living, for living a grounded life in perilous times.

Nothing is as good as having the treasure of God binding to ones heart and you are digging from it moment after moment. C. H. Spurgeon got the treasure explored it day by day and was able to link generations to this divine heavenly spring. To the discouraged it is a source of encouragement, to the dying soul it is a source of medicine, to the broken hearted it is a source of comfort. what more should I say about the way, light and ladder it has produced for every seeker of the heavenly home. Once again, it is a book every home must possess after getting the Bible

one of the best books you could wish to own, the only books that would be better are the full unabridged version, but if like me cash is hard to come by then this is well worth every penny,

Although written so many years ago, this book has still much for the thoughtful reader of the Psalms. Sometimes the language may seem quaint to the modern reader but the depth of Spurgeon's writing amply repays perseverance.
