After reading about Lily's Kitchen in the daily mail, it made me realise that I should take a closer look what goes into dog food. I didn't know anything about 'animal dirivatives' or how dog food is made. Searching about this on the internet I found lots of information - some shocking information on Youtube. Plus The Shocking Truth About Commercial Dog Food by Mike Sagman. So I started cooking my own dog food and buying food from Lily's kitchen. All I can say that my two Jack Russells (Ellie and Lily) not only love the food, but they seem much more healthier. - Ellies tummy rash has gone - which was such a worry. I guess she must have been allergic to soya or wheat or Gluten - which there is none in Lily's Kitchen food - I'm very happy. I have tried different types of food from there (dry and wet) and the dogs love all of them. Also I found that changing to different can food fairly quickly does not upset their tummy. By the way I have bought Lily's Kitchen book for dog recipies. It's great. Has giving me ideas on different meals that I cook for them - I usually do this once a week. I have bought most of the herbs that the book recommends - I put a couple of tablespoon full of each in one jar and mix it. Then all I need to do is to add a couple of teaspoons full to whatever batch of meal I cook (usually make enough for a couple of days). Yes Lily's Kitchen products do costs more than other commercial dog food, but well worth it. After all I love my dogs and want them to be with me for a long time.

As always, the pooches really enjoy Lily's Kitchen dog food and wipe the dog bowl clean every time. Can't fault the food, good consistency, easy to remove from the tin and works well with Lily's dry dog food. Amazon have in their wisdom decided to use Hermes which means that delivery is hap hazard and items are placed on top of the box rather than popping them inside to keep them dry and any safe place is not passed on by Amazon. Hermes confirm of delivery received at 11.30 for delivery at 2pm and if not in will not leave and may try and redeliver. Ironically Hermes then do not ring the bell but leave the item on top of the box in the rain! Great shame as really lets Lily's Kitchen down! Just to reiterate the dog food is fabulous, delivery service is appalling.

I started feeding my Husky lilys products since she was a wee pup, she is now 9 months old and still eats the stuff. I wanted her to eat quality Organic vegetables or livestock that was fed Organic feed. Lilys offered me just that in these little tins. I mix this with her nuts and raw meats, oh boy does she love it. Infact, she refuses to eat anything else. I've also noticed that she will eat less because her food is full of nutrition and her body is satisfied. I've looked at some other wet foods on the market and to my shock, the vast majority of them are 80% water... is it any wonder some dogs get sick all the time. If your Dog does not have the correct nutrition, how do you expect it to fight off sickness?

Our ginormous Newfypoo had an upset stomach and when she couldn't get into the garden in the middle of the night, well you can probably imagine! We consulted our vet, who advised a bland diet for a while. We bought some green tripe, which in the short term appeared to do the trick, but we then decided to feed the ginormous beast something more genteel, as she obviously has a sensitive stomach. I can confirm that fed on Lily's kitchen, we have had no more midnight explosions, so that's good. It isn't cheap, but saves on disinfectant and floor wipes.

this has lots of good things in and most of them organic so why ruin it by not using organic selenium? instead it has sodium selenite which is toxic and although I have been buying i thought it was all good things with organic ingredients, i also buy lilys kitchen ORGANIC chicken dry food which says on the front organic! but all the ingredients are organic except the selenium, they have put sodium selenite in it as its cheaper i assume. but why go to all the trouble and care of sourcing all the herbs and organic fruit and veg etc and then ruin it by adding sodium selenite! on this tin it says selenium but when i got the tins delivered it is different to what it states on this advert, i checked my tins and it is selenite not selenium as shown in this picture on amazon. why doesn't lilys kitchen use organic selenium in the organic dry food???

Füttere Lily's Kitchen schon länger. Die Qualität und Zusammensetzung des Futters ist super. Habe schon ähnliches Nassfutter ausprobiert, aber dieses mag mein Hund am liebsten und verträgt es am besten. Laut Hersteller werden die Tiere artgerecht gehalten und das Obst/Gemüse ist bio. Das Futter wird extrem gut verwertet, nur ein bis zwei Häufchen am Tag. Die Konsistenz des Futters ist mittelfest mit vielen Fleischstücken. Die Zutaten sind gut zu erkennen und es riecht recht angenehm. Große Auswahl an verschiedenen Sorten.
