Good spider catcher
Very good for catching spiders and releasing outside (as long as the spider is sitting on a flat surface like floor or wall, and is not running around).

can catch insects without hurting them (if done carefully!)
great little gadget - can catch insects and set them free outside without fear(!) - be careful not to trap any legs or wings though - often present them as useful gifts - expensive for a bit of plastic but as long as you don't drop them or tread on them should last a good while

Catch your spiders
I bought this after having had my first one for years which served me so well.I had caught countless bugs, mainly spiders, even the humungous ones that don't always fit in the catcher! That's a tricky job. However, this does work well. The only area of expertise that needs to be developed is getting the catcher over the creepy crawly w ithout catchig a leg/ wing or other body part (yuk). The really big spiders that are quick are the tough ones but it is possible as long as yoyu stay calm!Oh yes, make sure you rememeber which edge of the "catcher container" is the one that opens! You don't want to catch the offender and then find out you drop it as you lift the catcher!

Flimsy and not long enough.
It’s ok for flies, wasps, etc. But it catches the legs of spiders or crane flies, so not so good there. It’s very flimsy so you have to be careful with it, but it hasn’t broken so perhaps stronger than it seems. It could do with being longer though. Not bad for the money. I will buy another one for my sister, so I think it’s ok.

Humane
I’m not keen on spiders but I don’t like to kill them. This is perfect for capture and release

One of those useful gadgets which simply does the job.
A few friends scoffed when I first bought this, but I don't care, because it's a Very Useful Gadget.I don't like insects buzzing around the house, and I do have an electronic zapper, but this is less messy, and more humane, if it is handled carefully. The clear material makes it easier to put it over the bug on a flat surface - they simply don't see it coming.Once you have it under the trap, there comes the fiddliest part - closing the "door" part without squashing the occupant. Care is required - close the door slowly and gently with your free hand, giving the bug time to crawl up onto the "door" (and inside the trap) as it closes. Yes it does work - just be patient, and you'll have an unharmed bug to put outside, and no mess. This is the second one I've bought, after using the first one for 15 years - it would probably have lasted longer, if I hadn't stood on it by accident. An invaluable gadget, and far better than the old glass-and-paper.
