Perfect for beginners
Bought as the first guitar I have ever played. It is the perfect guitar for beginners as you get everything for a suitable amount of money, the guitar for how affordable it is packs a punch with an incredible sound. I managed to play bohemian rhapsody pretty much similarly to how it sounds on the record. I also bought a distortion pedal separately to play more rock and metal songs. It is easy enough to set up via the instruction guide. The strap is a little small for me but could fit younger people. Spare strings are required if needed. It is quite a light guitar and easy to carry around. Same goes for the amp which has a headphone jack. (However you have to buy the adapter separately). I recommend playing with gain all the way up if you want to learn rock and metal songs. For a small amp it certainly creates loud sound and is suitable for taking anywhere. The wires simply store in the back of the amp. Finally the picks are of good quality too. So overall this is probably the best guitar to buy out there if you are a beginner guitar player !

Excellent starter pack
I bought this pack so I could take up the guitar again after a long lay off. Not wanting to spend a lot (in case my renewed interest fizzled out), I opted for the Jaxville Hades. I have to say, what a brilliant pack it is. You literally get everything you need. Amp (with overdrive), spare strings (the guitar comes ready-strung - mine was almost in tune too!) cable, plecs, bag, strap. There's even a special offer for free guitar lessons using the code on the box. The only downside, if it even is one, is that the tutorial DVD's a bit naff, but hey who cares when you're getting such a brilliant guitar. I'd recommend getting a clip-on tuner with it and getting familiar with some simple guitar tabs while you wait for delivery - I was in tune and blasting out Smoke On The Water within 10 minutes of opening the box! Thoroughly recommended. I bought this with it - it's cheap, reliable and even works when there's background noise - Guitar Tuner - Cherub Clip-On

Well built guitar. Substandard packaging.
Bought as a gift but was really surprised at the quality for a budget guitar. The neck was nice and straight, the fret wire ends are finished quite well for a budget guitar and the cable socket is steady and a good solid fit.It sounds great and doesn't suffer from string buzzing. The guitar finish is really nice. I was a bit concerned having read other reviews stating the finish was poor with scratches and sinks, however, the one I received was perfect. There is a protective film over the pickguard, which was a pain to removed as it is put in before being screwed onto the guitar, so getting it all off is a bit of a pain. The tuners are solid and stay in tune really well. The amp is your standard beginner one. The overdrive is actually ok. Good amount of clear volume overall and the dials are solid with no crackling. The only negative I found was the packaging. That was abysmal. It is only through complete luck that it arrived unscathed. The guitar was wrapped in the usual thin cover but was not protected at all in the box and the amp was used to rest the neck on. Zero protection from heavy handed couriers. It's a shame because if that was improved, it would definitely have been a five star rating.

A simple and effective way of playing with little knowledge
Hi,I'm a keen music listener for many years, brought over the nineties with the boom in CDs, and selective music available, that was my foundation, however making music became a possibility when the iPhone progress to 3g, and I let go and returned to a music suite to find it had updated considerably, and allowed samples upto the limit of the memory of the phone, I am unsure I think the 3g was 128mb ram, which allowed about a minute and half of samples, and a limit to work with just 16 pads. But it taught me lots of things concerning music, and I had one time purchased some industry standard turntables Technics something or the other, one level above the usual ones, but I could never manage to beat match, and found I would prefer the easy option of just beatless music which was easy to smoothly bring in and fade in and out, because I feared ever getting double beats, which sounded unprofessional and awful and were embarrasing. Like anything though I never had much experience or knowledge concerning music, and theory behind it, and was awe struck back as a teen by certain sounds and music I was exposed to, also the weed gave music an extra feel which led me to want to produce if possible back then, before home computers had taken off, and computer studies wasn't taught in my school, other than for word processing, and very little other wise. But the music I wished to produce was mellow, because even the first poem I wrote was after penned, and searching for a title was called 'mellow', my sister entered it for a poetry competition, and we left it to our knowledge in the semi finals, and there was a problem with the name, they said it would be published in a book, I wish I could trace, as it means so much to me, it started with the words, 'For your security, you are my property, that cannot be left unattended,For your love, to descend like a dove, cannot be surrendered.'It was written in library, and based on a sign, in the reading part and studying section where a notice sign read, 'for your security, please do not leave property, unattended'.It was almost a conversation with God. But I was thirteen, and never knew whether I was a descendent of Prophet David. Masha Allah, and since then in 1992 and now 2012, I begun to write again, because after graduating I was deemed mentally unwell, so being almost on a verge of being a slave to the system, I write, and make music, I bought this guitar for my nephew, he chose, but he decided he wanted to leave it in my room, plus I was keen of it too, because I had an acoustic but it hindered my playing, whereas with this electronic guitar once plugged in, I wasn't making as many mistakes, and progressed quite naturally, I bought another app, guitar tabs, so I may try to learn to play somethign by some of the famous bands, but at present I'm relaxing, and haven't done anything, there's some stuff on the internet which I have done, asubmitter.com, where you'll find a track called 'believers or observers or usual suspects', which is has some of hte guitar works I have been doing. I like first attempts, and masha Allah, after that I tend to let go of it, for it inspires me a little but not too much, unless I can hear again. I returned to writing poems and have a few ebooks published, as well as hard versions on lulu, my name A Submitter, is what I use for them, however my real name is Kashif.I agree with the teachers comment, that it helps you progress, however still to learn a track through tabs, I like to try to get an as original and unique in style as I can without learning through other musicians, When I produce a lot influence, from the Stone Roses, Reni's style of crazy drumming with including bizarre and wonderful panning, and I guess the style of guitar playing I'm looking in my head for, is John Squire, and vocals well Brown was spot on, I like I wanna be adored, 'I don't have to sell my soul, he's already in me' - I know now being the Messiah, that he could be talking to me, but I always wrote, is he talking of being possessed by jinns or inspired by the spirit of Christ, and Christ means the anointed. Alhamdulilah, but as for the hippy love and peace, I'm not interested, because I always said initially to them 'The Christians blaspheme to say Jesus was begotten'. And back in 1998 in my first year, that is what I told a blonde haired English who became a Christian. Which I remember now, and Satan thought he could be another god with God, which God exposed with the creation of man, who wait, and God guides, insha Allah, because the angels know God, the devils rebel because they see, the humans learn because they reflect.PeaceA SubmitterTrue knowledge is you know nothing, and those who practice witchcraft are forbidden paradise. Disbelievers in God, God appoints devils to accompany them. Whereas believers in God, angels descend upon them, 'you shall have no fear, nor shall you grieve, rejoice in the news that paradise is reserved for you.'Find me on youtube, kashivii.[...]

value for money i suppose but guitar bag is not suitable it dosen't even fit. Dosen't stay in tune even after buying a digital tuner, strings can't be very great quality.it is also very heavy compared to others that are not that more expensive. my son is 13 and loved art work but don't let this fool you as the finish on the actual guitar isn't that great.when i took it to a guitar shop to get new better strings put on they showed me the neck was bent just poor workmanship.
