Fantastic Sprayer.. well worth the money !
I have had several sprayers over the years, and most have been 'fine' but nothing exceptional.I was dithering which one to buy next and after reading reviews, narrowed it down to 2 makes.I have had excellent Hozelock products over many years, (hoses, fitting, hose reels, sprinklers etc) and thought this sprayer has a good name behind it, so I would give it a try !I went for this particular model, because it was top of the range for 'amateur' use, despite being called the 'Pro' and I particularly liked the extension lance, as in the past I have always had to buy extensions as the suppled lance was too short, but sometimes the extensions make it too long when doing some tasks, so a variable lance would be exactly wheat I needed. If you look at the sprayer below this one by the time you add an extension lance you might as well get this better sprayer, as the Americans say it is a "no brainer".So look to see if you need things like the extension lance etc, as you may find, like me, this is by far the best value. So please do your homework on what extras you might need before deciding which model to buy, this sprayer has better quality 'seals' than the model below it too !There are lots of nice little touches on this sprayer, like the measure, which doubles up to indicate what is in or was last used in the sprayer, insecticide etc.You can also fill the sprayer though this inlet, rather than taking the pump mechanism out, the choice is yours, I have tried both, and both methods work fine. The first thing though that really impressed me was the overall quality, the pump handle felt so comfortable and it was easy to pressurise the unit, plus having the foot recess to put your foot on as you pressurise it, is brilliant idea.I know it says it is 7L and it will only hold 5L, well for me 5L is a good size, and all my previous sprayers have been 5L anyway and I really wouldn't want to carry more than 5L either, two 5L 'fills' does my rose bed exactly !I did try it as a backpack, but it felt way to unconfutable, and awkward to get on and off and that was with it empty, so not for me personally !All my other sprayers I have used with just the shoulder strap over one shoulder, until it gets partially empty, then I carry it round by the pump handle, and once again I found that the best for me with this sprayer.I found that giving it 20 pumps was enough for the pressure I wanted for spraying my plants etc, as if the pressure it too high not only does it blast the plants but it will empty quicker too and you will use more insecticide/fungicide that you need to as well and that costs money. As I see the pressure drop too much I just give it a few more (5-10 ) pumps, you will get the 'feel' for when to do this with experience.I notice that unlike my previous sprayers this sprayer will literally use every last drop, I used to waste a fair amount of solution with my previous sprayers so this is a big plus for me.When I have finished I make sure the sprayer has no pressure in it, by slackening then main (big) pump handle, then put the lance in the nice holder on the side, although I found sometimes it is a little tricky to 'wriggle' it in, but nothing major !Summing this sprayer up, to say I am VERY IMPRESSED is an understatement, it is just fantastic, I really should have updated to this years ago.Although I did buy an 'own brand' sprayer from a well known store 2 years ago, I found after 1 year I had problems with the seals, which I did sort out by sourcing better qulaity seals (they weren't cheap either) it was only very slightly better than my 30+ year old sprayers - this Hozelock one is in a league of its own, I can't recommend it enough, buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Easy to Use, Effective & Reliable
I have used this sprayer extensively for the past 8 years and it is still operating as well as it did the day I first got it: you can generally rely on Hozelock products . If you have a large garden or any patio, weed control can be a nightmare, and expensive using the trigger pumped 1 litre weed killers. With this sprayer though it's almost a pleasure seeing off the pesky invaders.Very highly recommended (always wear GOGGLES, gloves, and full cover clothing)

Doesn't show you how to fit the telescopic lance - but good purchase once you've figured it out.
I purchased the Hozelock 7 litre pressure sprayer Pro in April'20 as this comes with the telescopic lance but I had great difficulty working out how to put this part together as their was no mention of this part in the instruction booklet - which was of very little if any use - nor on the website videos I found. When I unpacked all the bits and pieces I found the metal lance fairly securely fitted inside the plastic lance and, with no obvious instruction what to do with it, I was unsure whether its should be removed before fitting or not. I could see from the picture on the box that it extends from the plastic lance, so I was able to push it gently and partly out of the plastic lance which allowed me to join the plastic lance to the trigger and then join the nozzle to the end of the metal lance. Once done, I tested it with water and it worked ok but it took me around an hour to work my way through all the videos to make sure I wasn't missing something. I'm sure I saw somewhere that the videos were for pre 2011products so it maybe they need to re-do their videos for the newer products - or have I missed one? Otherwise, having used it now it works fine - just make sure you tighten the outlet on the bottom as once I'd pressurised it, having put my weedkiller in it, it began to leak through this valve so I had weedkiller all over my gloves and my work area while I tightened it, which wasn't great. And while the telescopic lance doesn't move smoothly I've extended it to a comfortable length for use and I'll keep it that way. Hope this helps if you're thinking about buying one - good product and does the trick, once you've got it assembled!

Wow
I have had several other makes of garden sprayer, and usually they give up after a while, pipe blocks, lance corrodes. Etc Latest one the bottom of the pressure vessel sprung a leak all over my feet. ( At least i wont get green fly on my toes!!!)So been looking for something that lasts. Eventually decided on this, after being advised buy cheap buy twice...or in my case several. This looks well made, easy to assemble and good instructions. If you register it you get 3 year guarantee. Also the lance is fibreglass, so hopefully no corrosion, if using strong chemicals. Other good point, nice wide filling port. Also the pump can be stripped down to replace seals etc, if needed. Something you do not get with the cheap versions. So all good. Now to go and spray, just as it starts to rain!!Update: had this over a year, and still works superbly. Easy to clean, and see where your solution in. So good, i bought a smaller 5 litre one, for spraying weedkiller, so no worries of mixing it up. Not the cheapest sprayers, but i have learnt, that pay a bit extra you get good quality.
