I am using this for stock for casseroles and for roasting I would definitely recommend seasoning it well first and washing off the manufacturers coating. It is an excellent little castle pot with a great lid that fits well is also very good value

Very well packaged, haven't used it yet but its the perfect size for the two of us.

This is just the right size to cook on our log burner 2 hours on top and we have a stew to feed 4 people and it works .its brilliant and saves us money

Measuring at 20cm, this is a small Cast Iron Stockpot but it's oven safe up to 240°C. I have cooked rice and pasta bake in this, rice is a bit difficult to cook until you know how to control the flame. pasta bake came out quite well and was pipin hot, and it stays warm for a while. I'd like to cook break in it but am yet to try it.As this is cast iron and is enamel coated, steel wool should never be used. In addition, once washed it should be either heated or towel dried and then coated with cooking oil to season it. This will ensure that the pot doesn't get rusty. It's apparently suitable for induction hob, but I'm worried that the glass will scratch so I'm yet to try that.

Russell Hobbs cast iron 20cm stockpot is must have in every kitchen. It is well made from cast iron, very solid and heavy. Spread the heat evenly and provides excellent heat retention. It comes with 30 years guarantee which just proves how solid and durable it is that producer promising 30 years guarantee.I love the design, it looks very contemporary and stylish.It works great, I made couple dishes in it and everything was well cooked and delicious. The only negative that like every cast iron pot it is quite heavy.

I ordered the 2L pot for my elderly mother. As she lives alone all her existing stock pots are far too large and heavy and she does not need to cook so much these days.The 20cm 2L pot is an ideal size for her and also she has an induction hob. Being able to go from hob to oven is great.Pot looks the part on the stove too. Good price and good quality.

This is super quality cast iron. It’s a lovely size for sauces or stocks. It’s very heavy but as to be expected. It has a lovely looking finish and just screams good quality. It washed up well and keeps food hot for a long time.

Er liegt plan auf der Kochplatte auf und die Hitze verteilt sich schön gleichmäßig. Deckel und Topf passen tadellos aufeinander und der Topf ist nach Gebrauch leicht zu reinigen. Petite cocotte en fonte très pratique. La taille n'est pas faite pour des grand repas vu sa taille de 20cm. La monté en température se fait très vite, idéal pour les viandes a saisir. Bien pour une ou deux personne ou pour faire des sauce. La fonte a l'air de bonne qualité, mais a voir dans le temps. Je valide.

Der Russel Hobbs Topf kam zwar bei mir an, allerdings schien es so, als wenn das Paket bereits einmal geöffnet worden ist. Der Kleber, der die Öffnungslasche mit dem oberen Teil des Kartons verbindet, war dreckig und auch die Teile im Karton wirkten so, als wären sie schon einmal in Augenschein genommen worden.Ich habe den Topf auf Wunsch meiner Frau bestellt, da sie den Topf für Schmorgerichte im Ofen nutzen wollte.Allerdings mussten wir nach dem Auspacken feststellen, dass der Topf entweder nicht sauber verarbeitet oder beschädigt wurde. Es sind mehrere Kratzer bzw. Beschädigungen sowohl im Topf als auch am Rand des Topfes zu finden. Die Reste/Splitter davon lagen auf der Pappe, die ebenfalls im Karton lag.Im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes kommt das Gewicht des Topfes erschwerend hinzu: er wird mit 3,5 kg angegeben, was auch nahezu stimmt und das ist leider deutlich schwerer als die herkömmlichen Töpfe, die meine Frau sonst im Gebrauch hat. Fairerweise muss man sagen, dass der Hersteller dies auch exakt so angibt. Allerdings ist solch ein Topf für meine Frau im täglichen Gebrauch nicht nutzbar, da eindeutig zu schwer.Der Hersteller hat auf der Verpackung stehen, dass man den Topf auch zur Nutzung auf einem Ceranfeld nutzen kann. Davon nehmen wir aber Abstand, da wir Sorge haben, und das Ceranfeld zu zerkratzen.Da wir auch nicht wissen, ob sich die Absplitterungen am Topf vielleicht wiederholen, nehmen wir auch aus diesem Grund Abstand davon, damit zu kochen oder ihn für den Backofen zu nutzen. Das sind wir auch von gusseisernen Brätern/Töpfen so nicht gewohnt.Aus den zuvor genannten Gründen gibt es für das Produkt leider nur 1 Stern.
