The inside cover pages are dramatic in white on red.The text is clear in black for the best part, just a little tricky to read on the darker backgrounds in places (and may have been better in white), IMO.The story is accompanied by some beautiful atmospheric illustrations some of which also seem to radiate light, indicative in one of the stock images currently shown above.The attention to detail is appreciated by the older eye…e.g. the shadows, the footprints in the snow, the (mock) texture to the snow-covered roof of the house…this is a picture book for my forever shelf.From the dust jacket front flap:❄️ ‘High, high up in the clouds a tiny snowflake is made. The book is lovely but it has arrived with a CD. I can see there was supposed to be a CD in the back but it is sadly missing hence the low rating

Love benji Davies books I’ve read them to my son since he was newborn he’s 5 now and the storm whale is his favourite
