Practice Trumpet Straight Mute Silencer Aluminum with Cleaning Cloth, Silver

This is a good mute, but be careful what you buy. The Amazon page gives us the dimensions, showing that it's quite a bit smaller than most trumpet mutes. It actually fits very well into my pocket trumpet - so well that I suspect that's what they were designed for. So for any normal trumpet or cornet, you'll find it smaller than you're expecting. Having said that, I bought some for our Brass Band, and they're quite acceptable for our cornets. The tone is good; you just have to be careful not to put it in too tight, as then it's possible not quick to remove. Good price.

The point of a practice mute is to play the trumpet quietly e.g. so as not to disturb neighbours. This mute falls out, so you have to push it in hard to stay put, but then you can't play, you can't breathe! My trumpet is a good make, a Vincent Bach. I can't complain at the price of the mute, while being a practical person I will work on it with tape and bits of cork, until it does what it was meant to.

Well now, it's rather small and light, very fragile. Yet it works to my surprise,so what else can one say about it. It's ideal for those practice sessions one must have. The neighbors will be pleased I'm sure.

Not quiet as expected but truly quiet enough not to disturb the neighbours while practicising. I like it a lot. Note: May dent easily.

This was a prettly good product but i found using it required more air than typucal mutes and somtimes the pitch was iff because of that.

So happy I can finally practice without making an absolute racket in the house. This is perfect for anyone learning trumpet or cornet
