Now disappointed - just ovber 5 weeks of owning and using
OK, So I have owned this for over a month and in the last week I have noticed issue with it. Unfortunately Amazon is stating: Return window closed on 19 May 2018. ?? What one month warranty only on a new plug and unable to return? Will take this further with Amazon as it is totally not acceptable. The problem is this: My Raspberry PI3 Model B bought around the same time here at Amazon has began to show a yellow lightening bolt on the top right part of the screen (OSMC loaded). Apparently this is stating the Pi3 is not getting enough power. This also explains why I also occasionally get my HDMI channel go off and back on (within a second) occasionally.I also then read the message about being under-voltage when I shut Pi3 down.I have today ordered another power unit.My Pi3 is completely standard, no over-clocking, no additional USB ports used. I am only using the on-board wireless capabilities to get the internet connection. Normally I never power down the unit. its is always on 24x7 - most of the time in the main menu doing nothing unless I occasionally watch something.I read lots of praises by other purchasers, so I can only guess perhaps it has something to do with the fact I do not normally power down my Pi3 every night or I simply have one not quite up to the job on a long term basis!

Better than other brands, works well, no under-voltage problems
I had previously bought a "NorthPanda" power supply which also had a switch and was rated at 3a... HOWEVER, when used with my 7" Official Touch Screen + RPi 3B+, I was constantly seeing the under-voltage icon on screen. I'm very happy to report that these power supplies, at least so far, work perfectly and NO under-voltage warnings or issues. Better than the NorthPanda one I had. So much so, I bought 2 of these

Perfect for VR (tested with Mixed Reality but confirmed to work with Oculus Rift & HTC Vive)
Worked perfect with my Mixed Reality VR setup.P.S. If using for Mixed Virtual Reality VR, I can confirm that I bought this item along with the HTC Vive Link box (and a 12V 3.5mm x 1.35mm power adapter) which I connected to the PC via 1.5 metre USB 3.0 and High-Speed HDMI 2.0 cables. The IOGEAR HDMI cable was then used to connect the link box to the Mixed Reality headset along with the following:UGREEN USB Extension Cable, 10m:https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01FQ88CHS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1HDMI Coupler (to connect the cable to the Mixed Reality headset)https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B06XR8RBTQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1IOGEAR Active Redmere HDMI Cablehttps://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00I48Q892/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Nice PSU - just missing an indicator light to be great!
Nice Raspberry Pi power supply. The switch makes it great.... BUT ........ it has no means of indication that it is supplying power / on or off. The switch is a bit counter-intuitive as the on position is when the switch is in the out position.I'd have given it 5* stars if there was a small LED power on light.

Works on Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+
As you may know the RPI 3 B+ needs a fair bit of power. My usual PSU wasn't up to the job and getting the 'not enough power' indicator in the OS. This one works fine.

Returned
It may have been a one off but this product did not work, either put together with shoddy workmanship or very poor quality control, either way I'd stay well away. There are many more out there, look for good reviews and cross reference the bad.

Enough power for Pi 3, on/off switch reduces wear to the soldered-in USB power socket.
Worked fine powering an overclocked Pi 3 for retropie. The on/off switch (for use after powering down) is invaluable I think as removing and reconnecting usb power to a socket which is soldered to the circuit is an obvious source of wear & tear failure.

Still working after 6 months
Seems well made as it's still working after 24/7 use for half a year or more. The on/off switch is very handy to reset the Raspberry Pi. Recommended.
