Holding the toe firmly, file in a smooth stroke on the tip of the nail. File from the back to the tip, following the contour of the nail. Do not file in the opposite direction. A few strokes on each side of the nail will remove burs and leave your pet's nails smooth and healthy.

Simple & safe
Ideal solution for my rescue dog whose claws were over grown! She (fairly) happily lets me file her nails ........ l have done it daily to get her used to it & until l was happy with the length & I’m less likely to hurt her ..... l hate clippers!!!!

Great for filing dog claws
I found this to be very good. It is sturdy and works well on my dogs claws. It is curved, so it makes it easier to file the claw without rubbing the toe. Would recommend if you are nervous or using clippers
